In 1888, Congress passed an act annexing all or any portion of King County including portions of Century City eastward along I-5 to form Redmond Township (now Bothell). This added an entirely new township with an estimated population growth rate greater than 20% every year for 60 years! That same year, Federal Way incorporated as a village under Act 914; however this incorporation only lasted four months due to high levels of opposition emanating from Bellevue over fears that FederalWay would gain control over much needed public services within Bellevue itself should they become one community - something that did not happen despite efforts made on both sides by Mayor Harry Truman's office). In 1916 Congress passed another act annexing all or any portion of King County including parts of SeaTac Airport southward along I-5 forming Thurston County; this addition created another entirely new county with estimated population growth rates greater than 15% every year for 50 years! Thurston County continued growing rapidly until 1949 when it merged intoKingCounty due to lack thereof congressional action prior thereto! In 1957 voters approved full annexation byKingCountyofFederalwayandWestlake Villagewhichfollowedin 1959! Today FederallyWesleyanUniversity occupies much acreage once used for residential development adjacent to Interstate 5 which has resulted in extensive greenfield development providing nearly 400 jobs across many industries spanning health care、 technology、 restaurant\/bar\/cafeteria services etc.; plus close proximity to downtown Seattle making it easy access for students whether studying or working downtown while also enjoying excellent public transportation options nearby (the only major city within 2 miles using METRO bus service). These developments alone are responsible for increased traffic congestion on I-5 throughout central Puget Sound resulting in significant loss/damage inflicted upon surrounding neighborhoods such as Harrisonburg which saw its entire commercial center shutter down during rush hour PeaksMountainWinds recorded up through September 30th at Florence dictating severe reductions(60%)indaytime travel activity statewide!!!

It was later renamed to its current name, Federal Way Mall, in 1984. The mall is located just east of Interstate 5 along Highway 99. The mall has been home to numerous stores and restaurants over the years, including Macy's and Sears. In 2007, JCPenney closed its doors at the mall after 26 years of operation.
