After graduating from high school he attended college where he earned a degree in civil engineering and then worked his way up through the ranks at King County Technical College before becoming a professor there in 1971). He continued teaching until his death in 2003 which left an important legacy within the town's target shooting community.;) Today many people still remember him fondly for his skills as a coach, instructor and teacher;)
