Gun targets have been a part of Everett, Washington's history for many years. According to the Everett History Museum,gun targets were first used in America in the early 1800s. Gun Targets first started manufacturing target balls and then began selling them as pellets. The Bureau of Land Management acquired many acres of land near Everett in 1907 and began purchasing land for gun ranges. In 1912, the town of Everett was founded on part of the former BOM land and began Manufacturing Target Balls from local mills. In 1923, the town became a city and all manufacturing stopped except for manufacture ofTarget Balls which continue to be produced by locals today. In 1934,when newly formed Tidesboro incorporated, it decided to become an independent city with its own police department and production resumed at local mills until 1957 when all manufacturing ceased due to conflict between Tidesboro and Everett over taxes. Today there are still several old mill buildings left standing in downtown Everett that are used astarget factories today!

Everett, Washington is a small town in the Yakima Valley of Western Washington. The population was 9,651 as of the 2010 census. Everett is located in Klickitat County and is part of the Olympia metropolitan area. The first Europeans to visit what is now Everett were fur traders and missionaries in the early 18th century. In 1792, Captain George Vancouver charted what later became Everett Bay on his mapping expedition. The town was named after General John Jacob Astor, who had purchased land around Puget Sound in 1805 for $5000 dollars. In 1853, Atherton Wirtz founded a flour mill on the edge of town and began to process wheat into flour which he sold to other farmers near Yakima and Des Moines Counties. Wirtz also built a house and barn for his mill which remain standing today. In 1863 Rear Admiral David Dixon Porter set up Fort Alberni at the mouth of Grays Harbor River opposite present day Everett becauseof fear that the Indians would attack ships passing through that river duringsummertime. Nearby Mt Baker 2,985 feet (811 m) high made it an ideal site for an Observatory; Packard donated land for a observatory on 1 November 1860 by issuing a deed "to all persons having or acquiring title to any valuable improvements within or adjoining said village." The University of Washington built its campus south of present day Everett on this land between 1861-1886 using funds from Puget Sound Land Improvement Company gifts given by Sir John Franklin.. On 15 January 1886 UW students marched from their dormitory on Isthmus Road across Elliott Bay to Tacoma's Central School where they national anthem was sung by Captain Edward Cushing with then Superintendent David Sibley acting as director; US Naval Academy midshipmen drilled at Pt Moses Beach while overflow crowds watched from shoreline down Elliot Bay... University students occupied Tacoma’s Union Station 5 February 1886 when Governor Snelling refused seating for Senate Session without special privileges accorded Congress under Constitution Article II Section 8... On 21 March 1886 US Naval Academy midshipmen drilled ashore at Pt Moses Beach followed by overflow crowds watching from shoreline down Elliot bay... By 1888 most people either farmed or worked in local mills; few people lived in towns east of Isthmus Road A school opened at Elliott Bay in 1889 which served grades K-12 until 1943 when Griggs Middle School opened adjacent to Elliott Bay High School . After World War II there was significant growth with many new homes being built along Interstate 95 northward including downtown Everett ; annexed by Seattle in 1959 Additionally many businesses have been built such as Sears Roebuck & Co., Microsoft Corporation, Amazon Web Services Inc., Boeing plants including Evergreen Point Shipyard and Terminal Museum

Everett is a town in Lincoln County, Washington, United States. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. The town site was first settled in 1852 by Obed Myers and others. Everett was platted in 1872 by John Fitch as part of the Whitman Blocks of Pacific Northwest Territory. The community name is derived from early settler Everett Mallory's use of "evergreen" to designate trees that grew rapidly on his property. A new jail facility opened in 1979 and also serves as the local government center for government services such as water/sewer service, taxation, zoning authority, street paving/paving permits, public records access, real estate transactions (including home sales), elections (including municipal referenda), and social events such as dances or picnics. In 1907, Everett became one of the townships within what would become King County; it remains one of that county's most populous towns today with over 2,500 residents inside its borders alone! After being annexed into King County proper in 1996 through a referendum vote conducted among all its inhabitants*, Everett joined Puget Sound Incorporated* (PSI)† – now known as Thurston County – forming one large urban area adjacent to King County’s rural core characterized primarily by farmland.* With PSI’s merger came substantial financial resources which have helped greatly improve infrastructure including sewerage systems *and transportation upgrades* throughout much of Thurston Valley*. This has included construction or renovation of numerous schools* including both private high schools* along with many middle/low-income homes *eagerly awaiting their own school system extensions**! In recent years strong efforts have been made to revive downtown Everett with revitalization projects like new sidewalks and enlarged squares while maintaining aspects like historical architecture***
