In the early 1800s, Enumclaw was a small town in the Puget Sound region of Washington. It was known for its gun trade and for its location on the banks of the Yakima River. The town had a population of about 150 people at the time and it held annual gun shows to sell firearms. In 1911, enums Claw built its third hospital which became known as Harborview Medical Center after Harborview Avenue crossed through town center. The hospital was later renamed Northwest Medical Center after Northwest Highway ran through town center. Today's businesses include several large hospitals and many small businesses including restaurants and retail stores along with three schools: one public school (grades K-12), one private school (grades 9-12), and one charter school (grades PreK-8). There are also several churches including First Parish United Methodist Church where Reverend Dr Bill Warfield officiates services every Sunday morning starting at 7am local time; Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where Reverend Dr Bill Warfield officiates services every Sunday afternoon starting at 1pm local time; and Christ Episcopal Church where Reverend Dr Bill Warfield officiates services every Monday night from 7pm to 11pm local time - making this an excellent place to live or work if you want to be near some great Churches!
