The company changed its name to Browning Arms Corporation in 1957 when it bought all assets of Springfield Armory Company including its gunpowder plant and rifles manufacturing facility located in Springfield, Massachusetts. In 1974, Browning merged with Remington Arms Company to form Remington-Browning Incorporated. In 2003,Remington-Browning merged with Magpul Industries to form Magpul Industries LLC which remained inactive for several years until it reopened as a subsidiary of Adler National Firearms Sports Trading Inc., also known as ATK Defense LLC since 2018
Ellensburg is a town in Yakima County, Washington, United States. The population was 1,060 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Wenatchee–East Wenatchee Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first permanent settler in what is now Ellensburg was George Custer on February 14, 1847. The town was named after General Lewis Cass who served as US military governor of Oregon from 1853 to 1861 and as US Minister to Russia from 1861 to 1865. In 1863, the Union army moved into Yakima Valley and began attacks against Confederate forces along the Columbia River Gorge. On December 17, 1863, Union general John A. McClernand ordered an attack against Confederate forces at Mill Creek Bridge which resulted in heavy losses for both sides with over 100 dead and wounded on both sides combined. This event helped lead to McClernand's reputation as one of America's leading generals during the Civil War era
