When the Gun Owners of America (GOA) was founded in 1976, it couldn't have imagined what it would become. Today, GOA is one of the largest gun rights organizations in the United States and has chapters nationwide. The organization has helped to create constitutional Carry laws across the country, as well as working to protect Second Amendment rights. In Edmonds, Washington, GOA has been active in local politics for more than 40 years and is today a major player in town government. The first firearms museum inWA was opened in Olympia on October 25th, 1967 by members of the GOA Executive Committee with assistance from NRA organizer Will Brooks. At that time there were only a few handguns being offered for sale or display and no information about firearm safety or ownership available. The Museum moved to Edmonds in 1978 and continues to be open to the public each day from 9am-4pm. Today at GOA we celebrate all things firearms! We offer t-shirts with various slogans related to our history including "Firearms are second amendment rights", "Edmonds History: Our guns Matter!", "Gun Owners of America – Your voice!" and "Edmonds History – Guns not Bombs!". The first firearms shirts were made out of cotton and lycra, and they were used as part of army recruitment campaigns. In 1912, the city began producing its own firearms shirts. This type of shirt was designed to protect workers from the weather and to show support for local gunsmiths. By the early 1920s, Edmonds had become a center for firearms manufacturing and sales. In 1927, the city debuted its very first Concealed Carry Gun Shirt campaign. This initiative was designed to help gun owners keep their weapons safe while out on patrol or hunting. Throughout the years,Edmonds has been a center for firearm production and distribution; it has also been home to some of America’s most famous firearm manufacturers and sellers.
Edmonds is a small town in the U.S. state of Washington, located on the Olympic Peninsula. The population was 5,823 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Seattle–Tacoma metropolitan area and is included in the Puget Sound region. Edmonds sits on Puget Sound's southern shore, less than two miles from Downtown Seattle and about six miles from Boeing Field where the Seahawks play their home games. The first Europeans to visit what is now Edmonds were fur traders working for Russian fur trader Ivan Chetnikov in 1824-25. In 1827 another group of Russians made an unsuccessful attempt to establish a fur trading post at present-day Edmonds Cove on Puget Sound's southern coast; however, this failed because local Native Americans had fortified themselves against them with earthworks andstood up to repeated European invasions over many years prior thereto. In 1831, James Acheson founded what would become Acheson Air Force Base, just south of modern day Edmonds on land he had purchased from George Vancouver during his exploratory expedition along Puget Sound's eastern seaboard in 1829-30 (though he did not occupy it until 1840). In 1836, when Lieutenant Colonel George Vancouver explored parts of central Washington as part of his survey work for the United States government as part of its "Oregon Trail" project, he came across smallpox vectors lurking among some bushes near present day Husky Dam while travelling downriver; these bushes would later be named after him in honor of his discovery. A year later Captain David Brown landed at Point Defiance Bay east of modern day Edmonds with HMS "Eagle" and stores for his expedition commanded by Rear Admiral John Ephraim Cook before sailing northwestward along Elliott Bay until they reached Asia Minor Apr.–May 17th 1850 en route to India via Java Sea Captain Cook may have visited or been passing through Edmonds Harbour when he sighted an iceberg off shore northbound about 2 weeks before his ill-fated voyage around Cape Horn which ended with his death Mar.–Apr 15th 1792 aboard HM " Bounty". This event inspired author Jules Verne’s novel Around The World In 80 days which was published three years earlier During prohibition era most people living west side lived out their lives underground despite having access water available give live entertainment including movies using projectionist machines that can still be seen today outside old repertory theater building

Edmonds is located in Kitsap County, Washington and was founded in 1879 by John H. Edmonds. The city was named for the then-remote town of Edmonds, British Columbia. It became a census-designated place (CDP) in 1984 and has since grown to become one of the largest towns in Kitsap County. The population of Edmonds was 21,811 at the 2010 census. John H. Edmonds settled near what is now downtown Edmonds in 1879 after traveling through British Columbia on his way to join the army during the Mexican–American War. He arrived with his family and began construction of a rancho on land he leased from local Indians. In 1886, while working on a nearby mill dam project, Mr. Edmonds met Jens Jensen and fell in love with him immediately; they married two years later at a Methodist church service across the street from their farmstead. The couple quickly realized that they wanted to raise children close to them – so they decided to move out west into what would eventually be Kitsap County when their land was gifted to them by James Cordon and others who had purchased it during the early gold rush days of Puget Sound regions east of Seattle. They started building their home around 1900 on ninety acres where they grew wheat, hay, apples, pears and other fruit trees until 1943 when World War II interrupted their agriculture pursuits as munitions production took over downtown Seattle’s mills; however, Mrs. Jensen continued raising chickens until her death in 1951." In 1938, following annexation by King County as part of efforts led by Mayor Isadore Alexander Smith III., Edmond’s City Hall Complex opened its doors for business operations after having been closed for many years due to lack of funding from county coffers--a situation which continued until 1965 when money finally came through courtesy of Congressman Don Young's predecessor from Alaska's 3rd congressional district—thus reopening municipal services once again within city limits! Known today as "City Hall Annex" or simply "Anchor", this important civic center played an instrumental role throughout much of post-war Kitsap Growth including serving as both county courthouse (1948-1965) & first municipally owned grocery store (1946). At various times Overlanders Club office space also occupied portions Of Anchor before demolition beginning in 2006 resulting In loss Of nearly three football fields worth Of property And More than $60K In damage To The Structure!!! But most importantly It Was Home To Our City Council From 1949 Through 1963 Which Included Messrs Bob Silliman (& Jerry Moyle)—Both Now long gone but Eminent Members Of Our Community Who Made It What It Is Today!"
