The Neumann brothers were responsible for starting the handgun industry in Seattle back in 1892 when they designed and built the world's first revolver - the .30-06 Springfield Rifle. In 1911, John A. Neumann founded what is now known as Second Amendment Firearms Foundation (SAF). SAF was created to help protect Second Amendment rights across America by providing educational materials including NRA magazines to law enforcement officers across the country as well as providing financial support to organizations that promote gun safety awareness among civilians. SAF also sponsors annual National Gun Show events which bring together representatives from law enforcement agencies around America to discuss strategies for preventing shootings.). John A. Neumann passed away in 1957 but his son Julius took over running the store until he died in 1984; then his widow ran it until 1995 when their daughter Melissa assumed control.. In 1998 Melissa sold the business to her husband Rick who continues operations today under their name ofRick & Melissa's Second Amendment Firearms Emporium Incorporated (SAMFEI).. SAMFEI is one of only two remaininggun shops left open within 100 miles of Washington State’s Capital City – testifying to Edmonds’ longstanding position as a center of excellence for firearms education and retail sales."

In 1871, America's first National Rifle Association (NRA) meeting washeld in Hartford, Connecticut. At that meeting, American Rifleman magazine published the following article: "The NRA Enters the 21st Century" by S.E. Hinton: "What We Learned at the NRA Annual Meeting." The article detailed how rifle and handgun manufacturers had developed new types of clothing to protect their products from dust, dirt and other debris that could damage firearms. In 1903, Congress passed The National Firearms Act which regulatedthe sale of firearms in the United States. This act required all dealers who sold any type of gun or ammunition to conduct a background check on customers before allowing them to sell any weapon or ammo. This law also established limitations on how much ammunition each individual could possess and restricted manufacturing of certain types of guns. During World War II, firearm manufacturers began developing armor-piercing rounds specifically for use with pistols caliber .380 ACP handguns such as Beretta Model 1941 pistols chambered in that round; these rounds proved effective against tanks and other armored vehicles. As combat began to escalate across Europe during World War II, larger calibers such as .50BMG became available; this increase in caliber allowed for more powerful projectiles which could penetrate even high-quality metal armor plates without causing injury or damage to the firearm itself). As combat continued throughout North Africa and Europe during World War II; new types of ammunition were developed which could kill infantry using very small projectiles called JHP rounds (junkies case shot). These rounds had an aluminum casing filled with leadshot which caused extreme fragmentation when fired by a pistolcaliber machinegun like the Browning Auto 9 mm Luger.)
