East Wenatchee, Washington is a town in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 5,888 at the 2010 census. East Wenatchee is located on the eastern shore of Lake Wenatchee and is bordered by the towns of North Bend to the north, Stevens City to the west, and Mount Vernon to the south. Farming continued until World War II when Harry Beall founded his paper mill just outside present-day North Bend which soon made him rich enough to build himself an impressive brick mansion overlooking both Lakes Wenatchee and Crystal River (now part of Seattle). During World War II many local men enlisted in either military service or industry so that their families could also afford food rationing which caused some locals including Arthur Trimble Sr., owner of Purdy’s grocery store on First Street near Central Park before he retired at age 85 years old became one example how farming activity stopped completely during war years while other industries like uranium mining did not suffer from shortages however many families lost their homes due to firebombing raids by Japanese planes while others had difficulty getting food rations because they could only produce subsistence level crops like wheat rather than high value items needed for munitions production such as silk fabrics etc... After 1945 many people returned back into agriculture but with more mechanization so now there are few family farms remaining with grain being our main crop still today though some potatoes are grown here too! Many young people have left for jobs outside rural America moving away from those lifestyles we grew up with!
