Other primary industries include manufacturing which makes up only 2% of GDP but employs around 10% of the total workforce; retail trade account for another 5%; services make up 4%; while housing and infrastructure make up 3%. Overall, this provides a indication that although there are some prosperous businesses within Covington's borders (such as insurance companies), most residents remain employed within farming or other rural based businesses
