He saw an Indian village nearby and decided that it should be called Wenatchee after that village's chief. However, some people thought that this name sounded too Indian-like so they changed it back to Camasa after getting some suggestions from others about a new name for the town site where their trading post had been situated since 1855 - mainly because no one knew how else to spell or say "camasa" (the local language). In 1909, William McKinley became president of America and he made CAMAS his headquarters during his visit across country tour starting on July 4th from Seattle Tacoma International Airport - making CAMASWashington's only capital city! On December 12th 1912 King Robert Hays signed Executive Order No 3125 which exempted all citizens of Washington State from military service during World War I as part of efforts by then Governor Earl Grey To keep our state neutral! Thereafter most businesses closed down until 1942 when war got underway with Japan! By 1945 most residents had returned home but very few buildings still stood due mostly gangrene caused by bad weather conditions during WWII weeks long supply shortages brought about by bombings dropped over Japan! While rebuild began immediately most structures not destroyed were completely rebuilt within 5 years primarily due largely thereto r&d done at Boeing plant lots near camasa airport being used as prefabricated housing until recent days when they are being replaced with traditional log cabin architecture much loved hereabouts especially along river banks close enoughto takefull advantageof sun exposure &steam generated heat
