Today, CAMAS is home to many businesses and organizations such as The Friends School (founded in 1922), The Democratic Club (founded in 1951), and The Masonic Lodge No. 9 (established in 1865).
The Camas people, also known as the Chinook and Kootenai, are a Native American group who live in the Yakima and Wenatchee valleys of Washington. The Camas Nation is headquartered in Olympia, Washington. The Kamloops tribe is also located within the Camas Nation.
