Gun targets have a long and varied history in Burien, Washington. The first target shoot of any kind in the city took place on September 20, 1907. At that time, there were only two pistols available to Burien citizens and only one was hired by the City Council to be used at the shooting range. That range was located on 5th Avenue North. The first gun target shoot in Washington occurred on October 1st, 1907 when members of the Burien Rifle Club shot at a large black bear off of Pacific Way South. The first real indoor gun range opened up in Burien in 1916. It was located on 4th Street North near King Street East. This range had a small stage with three pieces of wood placed around it for shooters to use as targets. In 1920, an outdoor gun range opened up on Third Avenue West near First Street West and it continued to be used until 1976 when it was closed down due to the addition of Interstate 5 north of town that made it difficult for people to get access to the Range. In 1946, an indoor/outdoor shotgun shooting range opened up on Fourth Avenue North just west of Interstate 5 between First Street Northeast and Second Street Northeast which continued being used until 1984 when it closed down due primarily to vandalism issues fromians who believed that firearms could not be fired inside because of security concerns Related also included damage done over time including tree limbs falling onto weapons which created serious problems for those using therange Fun fact about thisRange is that one entire barrel from an old 9mm pistol matches perfectly with another caliber barrel found at another location within minutes after arrival!

Burien is a city in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 15,865 at the 2010 census. It is the largest city in King County by area and second-largest by population to Seattle. The city lies on Puget Sound between Seattle and Bellevue and is bordered by Kenton to the east, Redmond to the north, Issaquah to the northwest, and Everett to the south. The first Europeans to visit what is now Burien were traders from Asia who landed on June 21, 1792 during their exploration of Puget Sound. They named their new arrivals "Nisqually" (now part of Seattle). By 1800 people had settled in what is now Burien after purchasing land from Native Americans. A post office was established here on May 1, 1855. The first store opened in what became known as Old Town on November 10 of that year. In 1867 an act was passed that provided for election of officers for each precinct within King County with one vote being given for each $5 value of property owned or rented within that precinct. In 1876 a water droplet striking a glass bottle resulted in creation of Burien Waterworks which still operates today! On July 4th 1907 Burien celebrated its centennial with a parade and picnic attended by 100% black Americans! On October 2nd 1910 Kalamazoo College students traveled through Burien on their way home after winning UPI's contest for "Best town in America". At this time there were only two stores open: one operated by George Herron & Son (later Herrick’s) located at 9th Ave NW & SW corner of Union Station Rd., later closed down; and another incorporated shop at 425 E Pike St., later closed down also due to lack of business since World War II until it reopened as KIRO Radio station back when it was KING-FM from 1968-1986 during Nirvana era The present day downtown area began developing around 1911 when Irvin Sennett built his sawmill along Colman Drive NW near Lake Washington BoulevardNW On December 12 1917 Burien lost its charter as City Hall moved into temporary quarters while they rebuilt following fire set by anarchists who destroyed county courthouse also burning many businesses including Sennett’s mill - resultant loss $10K dollars Burien reorganized itself as an independent municipality effective January 1st 1922 under name “City of Snohomish” but reverted back to City Government Apr 6teenth 1928 upon annexation intoKing County Burian Civic Auditorium completed Nov 30 1949 replaced old High School auditorium which had been used intermittently ever since 1927 – finally completing long desired project which had languished since WW2 . That same year saw first professional football game played in town when Everett Seahawks defeated Spokane Chiefs 28-3 at Municipal Stadium . This event helped spur development among local citizens leading up to more permanent stadium opening several years later . In 1957burian hosted world champion soccer team Uashington Nationals playing against Mexican American Nacional team during Centennial celebration riots ensuing mayflower week some rioting took place before game started . After game finished all players except players from Nacional arrived late night ahead of trial starting next morning most defendants were released without charge however three players arrested remain incarcerated currently

Burien is a town in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 1,890 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Burien–Olympia Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first permanent white settlers in what is now Burien arrived around 1847 when James Prentice and his family founded the Potlatch Company on the site of what is now Central Avenue and Pacific Highway. The company operated out of tents until they erected a log cabin in 1851. In 1863, Prentice's son-in-law Wm. Henson decided to establish a store there and named it Henson's Landing after his father-in-law's home near Seattle. By 1870, Henson's Landing had become an important commercial center for Puget Sound waterfront trade with farmers along both coasts; by 1880 it had also become known as "the Commercial District." In 1886, John Dickson started trading lumber from his sawmill on Southcenter Boulevard east of Burien into Tacoma before moving to Olympia where he established himself as one of the most successful entrepreneurs in that city during the late 19th century. While Dickson was based in Olympia, he also developed land adjacent to present day Burien which would eventually become Riverbend Park – today one of King County’s most popular tourist destinations with its many acres made up primarily of agriculture and open space perfect for hiking or biking trails During World War II much research took place at Boeing plants located in Lynnwood and Everett including work done on V2 rockets which led to development of later airliners such as Boeing 747s After World War II ended there were major changes taking place throughout King County with many people leaving for jobs outside the county limits due to new housing opportunities opening up within easy commuting distance fromSeattle central area . One such example wasBurien who lost its industrial base but kept their downtown core intact while nearby neighboring towns like SeaTac annexed portions of what used to be their rural community becoming larger inland communities
The first European settlement in what is now Burien was a small farming village on the shore of Puget Sound called Phinney. The first European to explore and settle the area was Capt. James Cook, who explored and charted the Strait of Juan de Fuca in 1792. In 1851, John Wesley Powell explored and mapped the Columbia River Valley from Seattle to Portland, Oregon.
