In 1911 Sealth lost its charter as City Hall burned down; however this did not stop it from continuing to thrive as an agricultural center due to its location near Puget Sound and its low population density which made it easy for farmers to grow crops without having them watered or fertilized by cities or other farmer-led organizations like markets or credit unions. One such organization was The Grain Growers Association which grew out of The Grain Elevator Company founded by Samuel Noble in 1907 which served local farmers throughout Pierce County until it closed its doors in 1978 due to economic difficulties caused by factors including high commodity prices and increased competition from other modern agricultural centers such as Seattle and Bellevue WA.). This referendum was fought largely because many residents felt annexed Thurston would have brought new development directly adjoining our homes & schools while also impacting our water use & boat launching opportunities resulting in less revenue for our coffers! Despite being underdog candidates all 3 members were elected on election night thanks largely to your support! However annexation never happened; rather we continued using our wonderful democratic process & preserved most if not all aspectsof our unique village lifestyle!!!
