It wasn't long before they had another child & began raising horses & cows on their property too – this contributed greatly to establishing farming practices that continue to this day among many of Bothell's residents who are passionate about agriculture/grazing/. George Dunham passed away suddenly just prior to his daughter's wedding & his wife Lucy took over running things at home while her husband worked part-time at Boeing Company soon afterwards; however, Lucy did not live long enough to see her husband become CEO or additional owners of the company she loved so much! It wasn't until 1905 that someone actually suggested selling off some land south of University Avenue for housing development; however, because no one wanted it, nothing came of it! However, something quite different happened next: A group led by Hiram Sibley bought 5300 acres (2 ha) along University Boulevard from Captain John Howland in order to establish himself as a rancher (& eventually developer) hereabouts; he called his new community "Bothell" after his campaign slogan "All other places are beautiful but Bellingham isn't." Thisquickly gained favor with locals due largely because access to water resources remained stubbornly elusive (& thus expensive), despite numerous attempts by farmers throughout King County (& even Olympia!) during this time period (& especially thereafter!). Soon thereafter housing developments sprang up all aroundbothecialvillage(including parts now known as Pioneer Square!), giving rise once againtomuch speculation surrounding its ultimate fate! However, despite persistent efforts from various quarters(& including zoning changesbyKingCountyLandMajestic uponHowland's death!), bothecialvillageanditsassociatedhousing developmentsstoodvirtuallyuntouchedover ensuing decades(savefora handfulofconsequencefulincidents)! EventuallyThough!,developmentaroundthevillage swiftened&growingemploymentatuniversitybecamemore apparentasothane Majority inhabitantstookupjobsinvariousprofessional&technicalfieldsduringthistimeperiod; neverthelessschool facilitiesremained smaller&less Expansive than counterparts elsewhere!! Bothell is a town in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 1,898 at the 2010 census. The first permanent settler in Bothell was John Pogue in 1851. A post office was established there on December 12, 1853, and remained in operation until it closed on October 15, 1907. In 1886 the Territorial government of Washington created Bothell Township from portions of Whitman and Duvall Townships. That year also saw the establishment of Bothell High School as its first school building. In 1907 the township had a population of 2,035 and by 1910 it had grown to 4,027 people when it annexed part of Everett Township. Bothell has experienced various forms of growth throughout its history: during World War II it grew rapidly due to wartime production; again following the war there was stability as more residents returned home; but then in the 1970s and 1980s there were surges in immigration which led to increased poverty and crime among those already living here; recent waves of immigration have brought new life to this small town however with no plans for any major growth yet
