When Northwest Airlines went bankrupt in 1990 they sold their interest in Boeing Field back to county government for use as an airport- especially relevant given that Boeing Field had been used by both King County Airways (now Aerojet) and Washington State Aviation since 1959! Grant during the American Civil War and afterwards served as Ambassador to Sweden Families began moving into Harmonburg from around Puget Sound beginning in 1875. By 1880, there were over 100 residents living there permanently and more than 150 seasonal residents working on farms or fishing or hunting for salmon or other game out near Harmonburg Creek until 1906 when an electric power line was built through that area making farming much more difficult and rural life ended with few exceptions until World War II when many people came back into town for work on aluminum smelters operating out of nearby Duvall Arsenal
