The results of these studies led to the founding of Seattle's Hyacinth Museum some years later on October 10th with three Hyacinth pots donated by Mrs Ethel Woolridge Nichols (1860-1936). In 1907, construction began on an electric streetcar line between Tacoma and Seattle which would serve as an important link in the growth of Seattle. This led to increased development around what is now Bothell with businesses starting up all over town including shops like Sears and JCPenney while residences were built near the streetcar poles. This spurred further growth during this time period with many new homes being built along desirable routes such as Maple Street and University Avenue
