Bothell, Washington is a city in Microsoft County, Washington, United States. The population was 1,815 at the 2010 census. The first people who lived here were the Klamath Sioux tribe and their cultural groups called the Salish. In 1851–1852 Congress passed the Indian Appropriations Act which appropriated $10,000 to help purchase land for a reservation for the Klamath Sioux Tribe. This reservation was never built but it helped start what would become Bothell as an agricultural town. The first store in Bothell opened in 1875 on North Main Street and was operated by H C Weyerhaeuser. From 1892 until 1912 there was also a grocery store on South Market Street (now Valley View Boulevard). When Waddell’s Grocery closed its doors in 1912, it left a large void that was filled by Wang’s Chinese Grocery which opened in 1914 on West Main Street. The store continued to operate until 1990 when it closed due to financial difficulties. In 1916 an armory and arsenal were constructed on East High School grounds; these facilities served as the nucleus ofBothell’s military presence during World War I and World War II. In 1938 Microsoft co-founded AIBC (the American Indian Business Council), one of several federally funded organizations designed to promote business opportunities among Native Americans living within U.S borders in order to stimulate economic developmentnative businesses had been struggling unsuccessfully since WWII due primarily to discriminatory practices by American Indians themselves AIBC helped spark significant growth for indigenous businesses throughout Northwest America from 1938-1964 Additionally Microsoft played a key role through AIBC in developing regulations requiring companies with Native American employees provide training programs specific to their industry Today AIBC continues its work supporting tribal businesses across all 50 states through our member organizations

Bothell was founded by the Potlatch Band of the Cascade Range in 1854. The town was named for John Bothell, a member of the government survey party that mapped the region in 1853. The first post office opened in 1860, and Bothell became a railroad town in 1865. By 1900, Bothell had a population of around 2,500 people. In 1909, Bothell adopted an official seal which features an image of a deer grazing on wildflowers. The town's nickname is "The Deer Capital of Washington." A large number of botanical gardens were established within the limits of Bothell during its history. One notable garden is located at 3505 NE 113th Ave., near Seattle University; it contains more than 6,000 plants and shrubs from forty-eight countries. A second botanical garden is located at 7052 NE 137th Ave., just east of Bothell; this garden has more than 12,000 plants from eighty-six countries. Another botanical garden is located at 17551 NW 184th Street, northwest of Redmond; this garden has more than 10,000 plants from fifty-eight countries. In 1896,Bothell hosted the National Agricultural fairs which attracted significant attention to Washington agriculture and industry. The fairgrounds are now part of Microsoft campus when they close down for events such as concerts or football games

Bothell, Washington was founded in 1792 by Captain George Vancouver. The first permanent settler in Bothell was John Chapman. In 1851, the town incorporated and began to grow rapidly with the arrival of new settlers. The townsite was renamed Bothell after a local stream, and growth continued until the early 20th century when transportation made it difficult to keep up with population growth. In 1916, Bothell became an independent city.
