Gun lights have been a part of the US military and law enforcement communities for over eighty years. The first recorded use of a gun light was in 1892 when a soldier used one to illuminate his way while patrolling in Afghanistan. Gun lights were also used by FBI officers during theatrical shows to signal they had stopped. The first commercial production of gun lights took place in 1916 when General Electric began making them as floodlights for artillery spotting. A year later, they became available as portable devices for police officers and firefighters. In 1932, the American National Rifle Association (ANRA) created the world’s first professional organization devoted to NRA Standards for Pistol/Machineguns, Ammunition, Devices and Equipment for Law Enforcement Officers (LEO). This standards-setting body is responsible for setting or approving most firearms ammunition and equipment that is used by both law enforcement and civilian users. Beginning in the early 1950s, gun lights were typically equipped with red or green strobe light bulbs which allowed them to be seen at night while providing an accurate target image on a monitor or camera. In 1957, however, rifle grenades were being dropped from bombers using infrared technology so rifle light systems became necessary to see the grenade against the darkness. Heavier gunsights with electronic sighting entered service beginning in 1966 which eliminated need for strobe light bulbs but increased accuracy due to electronically adjustable turrets and lenses. These heavy gunsights are still common today on many rifles including assault rifles.

Bothell is a city in the U.S. state of Washington and the county seat of King County. The population was 97,822 at the 2010 census, making it the 7th-most populous city in King County. Bothell is located northeast of Seattle on Interstate 5 and east of Bellevue on State Route 99E/SR 99W. It shares borders with Redmond to the north, Kirkland to the east, Bellevue to the south, and Lynnwood to the west. The first people whosettled in what is now Bothell were Palouse Indians from northern California. In 1853 they built a small log cabin on land that became part of Bothell Township. William Brown founded a sawmill here in 1865 and began extracting logs from nearby mountains. By 1881, Brown had moved his mill two miles (3 km) southeast to what is now Bothell High School where he continued manufacturing lumber until his death in 1886. The town grew rapidly during this time as many farmers set up businesses around Browns Mill: grist mills (1872-1912), hotels (1875-1900), grocery stores (1877-1920), post office (1881-1966), auto dealership (1902-1906), pottery factory (1900-1905), and other industries. In 1912, Pottsville developer Harry Wirth established Wirth's Mills Hereford Creamery & Cheese Company here, one of several enterprises which would dot Bothell's landscape over ensuing decades. After World War II ended, much industry departed for newer locations; however, Wirth's remains are still evident today as part ofBothell Premium Outlets LLC., an agricultural processing company based in Everett that offers retail items such as cheese products and farm produce online and at physical stores across Western Washington

Bothell is a small town in Grays Harbor County, Washington. The population was 1,827 at the 2010 census. Bothell is located on the southern shore of Lake Chelan, east of Tacoma and west of Cheney. The first humans to inhabit what is now Bothell were Native American Nisqually people who arrived in the area around 1853. The town was named for Isabella Stewart Gardner, widow of Commodore John Gardner, who donated land to the town in 1870. In 1898, following the purchase of land from the Nisqually people by George Ellicott and others, Bothell became part of Seattle. In 1907-08,Bothell's downtown was built upon a large piece of wood that had been floated downriver from Council Bluffs, Iowa during that year's water shortage crisis. When it rained on Saturday afternoon local officials decided to "put some class into things" and move the event outdoors where spectators could watch live music and skateboarders play in one spot while other activities took place inside. This was just one example of many community events held throughout history at Bothell's downtown square which still functions today as a popular hangout spot for residents and visitors alike! During World War IIbothell played host to several thousand troops stationed along Puget Sound Naval Shipyard Extension until they were relocated inland after Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th 1941 led by Emperor Hirohito! On September 11th 1943 USS Quincy (CV-21) collided with USS San Francisco (CV-40) off Shoreline Drive in front of Bothell waterfront while en route to Everett Naval Air Station; both ships suffered extensive damage with Quincy listing twenty degrees starboard before being towed back into port for repairs Quincy would not be repaired again until 1998! In 1957Bothell hosted its first car show complete with 5 classes cars including coupes prototypes sports sedans coupes convertibles open tourers sports cars etc... demonstrations were also held at nearby Landmark Park across Lake Chelan! As this was happening new shopping areas called “The Lakes” sprang up all around Puget Sound area with similar centers like Bellevue WA., Lynnwood WA., Issaquah WA., Kent WA…..and more developing over time! All these malls grew out side existing industrial areas creating an amazing high density development pattern today known as “the city”……… leaving behind little evidence but beautiful architecture everywhere you look
