In 1865, President Abraham Lincoln designated Bothell as home to Seattle's new general hospital which became known as Queen Anne's Hospital in 1888 when Queen Anne's Domain was annexed by Seattle proper. Queen Anne's Hospital closed in 1907 but reopened as Bellevue Hospital in 1912 after being purchased by Mount Sinai School of Medicine which moved fromSeattle to Bellevue from 1915 until its closure in 1976. On May 25th 1901, Drs Murray and Baker founded Seattle Children's Hospital and opened their doors for patients only one week later on June 2nd with just seventy beds! Over time more hospitals were added including Nordenfelt Children’s Clinic (1939), University Medical Center (1970), Roosevelt patient care center (1991) and EvergreenCare Health Partners Pavilion(2007). Today there are over two thousand beds insideof Seattle’s city limits and growing outside where者Patient Centered Careopened its doorsin Issaquah earlier this year!
