Bothell is a town in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 7,868 at the 2010 census. The town is part of the Bellevue–Everett metropolitan area. Bothell was founded on November 12, 1887 by George Wickersham and his wife Eliza Burtis as a small agricultural community near what is now Bellevue. It became an important transportation center for the region and served as a central point for commercial shipping and trade between Seattle and Puget Sound until it was annexed by Everett in 1907. The first firearms were built in Bothell during the late 1800s by local hardware store owner George Wickersham. A few years later, he imported two types of rifles from England which he used to arm his farmhands. rifle ammunition and shotguns were also bought from England at this time. By 1902, gunsmiths had built handguns including pistols, revolvers (and eventually rifles), shotguns,machines that fired shot or shells through slits in the barrel called “slugs” etc., all of which were considered rudimentary at best back then but still efficient enough for hunting game such as deer or bear.. By 1910 there were over 100 businesses in Bothell with more than 2 dozen saloons and gambling halls spread throughout downtown with ample opportunity for business profit margins due to its location close to major vessels docking at Lake Union Naval Navy Yard as well as access to abundant natural resources like coal and lumber that could be shipped downriver to Everett via train or boat

Theyading a wagon train from Portland, Oregon, they landed at dusk on April 20th and set out for what would be their new home. One of the McKay brothers died on the trip and his brother took over leadership of the party. The McKay's house still stands today as a historic landmark along with other early settler homes including that of George Stephenson which is also open to visitors today. In 1872, James Gamble bought 5 acres (2 ha) of land northwest of downtown Bothell on Puget Sound where he founded Gamble Farms Agricultural Company Ltd., one of the earliest farms in Bothell. In 1893, Gamble donated an additional acre (1 ha) to Bothell for use as a parkland named Gamble Park after him and his wife Eliza Jane Dodge Goggins Dodge-Gamble". The town got its name from him when it was incorporated on January 14th 1902 by act of Congress under section 8-5-401(a). At that time there were only small villages scattered throughout King County with names such as Sumner, Vashon Island, Gig Harbor and Ballard; all but two had since been annexed by Seattle or renamed after larger communities or counties within Seattle - Northgate (1901), Mercer Island (1902), Wallingford (1905), etcetera During World War II many residents businesses participated in war production including making munitions and creating tanks and planes at Wayland Arsenal National Laboratory northeast of Bothell until its closing in 1945 due to budget cuts by then President Harry S Truman; however most residents kept their homes during those years while national defense production took place elsewhere In 1978 Mayor Norm Stamper approved plans for developing town center around former Wayland Arsenal National Laboratory site which became Leary Center Shopping mall before finally being closed down in 2000 as part of Mayor Ed Murray's plan to revitalize downtownSeattle Withdrawn again following community outcry lead by then City Councilmember Kshama Sawant following election victory in November 2014 over her predecessor Bob Ferguson Following rezoning approval late last year by city councilmember Debora Juarez this proposal gained momentum with support from several prominent local business owners who met outside city hall prior to vote late last night resulting inpositive recommendation for development being forwarded back to mayor Kirk Caldwell for final decision .Mayor Caldwell has said he will review development proposal before deciding whether or not it will become a reality
