The lack of funds led to several Amos Lofts buildings being built near downtown before that property reverted back into county hands following an agreement between County Executive Dow Constantine and Mayor Norm Coleman which allowed for lofts to be built once again within city limits! After more than 40 years bothing progress local taxpayers finally collected enough money through sales tax collection rates during 2002/2003 school year to partially rebuild old district 5 school building which was originally designed by noted architect Driggs & Hastings Architects with plans submitted by then Superintendent Don Sprague! This new building has been renamed “King Edward VII Elementary” after former King Edward VII himself who donated $50000 towards its construction! Many other improvements have also been made over time such as adding sidewalks around all streets including Queen Anne Ave; resurfacing roads; increasing planting diversity; adding features such as bathrooms adjacent to home entrances; installing streetlights at key intersections throughout town while still keeping beauty standards high along many blocks making it one thriving community we now enjoy day & night!
