Laser sights are a type of sighting device that uses light and electric fields to indicate the position of a projectile. The first laser sights were invented in the early 1970s by Kenneth Faradays and Robert Huggins. Laser sights have since become popular for target shooting, hunting, and law enforcement applications. A number of different types of lasers have been used to create laser sight devices. The most common type is the red-green-blue (RGB) laser, which emits light in those three colors. Other types include violet lasers, which emit only short-wavelength light; blue-green lasers, which emit both short-wavelength and long-wavelength light; and infrared lasers, which emit only low energy waves. Bonney Lake is a small town in the U.S. state of Washington, located on the border of Bonney Lake and Wenatchee counties. The population was 692 at the 2010 census, down from 712 at the 2000 census. The community is part of the Uniontown-Wenatchee, WA micropolitan area. The first settler in what is now Bonney Lake was James McClung, who arrived in 1849. He homesteaded land near present-day milepost 9 on the Wenatchee River. In 1875, he and his family founded a lumber company that became known as McClung Lumber Company. Many local officials were born or raised in Bonney Lake; these include: first Mayor Luke Nolen (1930 – 2002), current Mayor Donny Knecht (1989 –present), Judge Harry Jaffe (1922 –2001) and Sheriff Herb Weisbach (1985 –2014). One of the most famous citizens of Bonney Lake was Roy Orbach, who played professional ice hockey for the Seattle Seahawks and Buffalo Bandits between 1975 and 1978 and won two Stanley Cups with both teams. Orbach also served as mayor from 1984 to 1990 before being succeeded by Donny Knecht. The 2006 Olympic Winter Games were held in Vancouver, British Columbia; however, much of what makes up downtown Vancouver—such as Gastown—were not included within the city limits whenBonney Lake was reincorporated into Uniontown-WenatcheeWA on February 17th, 2006 through an act of legislature led by then-Mayor Donny Knecht. As a result, many facilities used by athletes such as BC Place Stadium were not within city boundaries but rather were situated in neighbouring municipalities such as North Vancouver or Surrey. Knecht announced on October 1st 2017 that he would be retiring after 22 years atop City Hall - making him one of only two mayors ever to serve continuously for more than 20 years across four different administrations.
Despite this announcement Knecht remains active with numerous civic boards including chairing various committees related to energy security & renewable energy development which have significant impact on municipal coffers.

The Bonney Lake community was founded by George C. Bonney in 1887 on the site of an old ferry landing. In 1907, a post office was established at Bonney Lake and remained in operation until it closed in 1971. In 1968, the town of Clyde Heights was merged into Bonney Lake. The merger resulted in the creation of a single municipality with a population of 5,794 residents as of the 2010 Census.

Bonney Lake was a stop on the Oregon Trail. The first post office at Bonney Lake was established in 1847.
