Gun grips have been around for centuries, and their history in Bellingham is fascinating. The Bellingham Herald article "The Guns of the Old Northwest" written by Edwin L. Cram wrote about the history of gun grips in the area. In 1892, W.C. Bennett designed a grip that became known as the "Bennett grip." The design was based on his experience with shotguns and pistols. It consisted of two pieces of metal that were riveted to each other at one end and held together by a screwdriver-type handle. This type of grip was used by many shooters in the early days of firearms development in Washington State. By 1903, when guns were becoming more common in Bellingham, local manufacturer Fenton had made a version of the Bennett grip called the Fenton No3 style grip. In 1861, when Washoe County was formed from parts of Snohomish and Clark counties, Bellingham became one of its municipalities; it moved from its original location on Elliott Bay to become as big as Everett by 1865 (when Snohomish County merged with Kitsap). Growth continued through annexation of other nearby towns during this time: By 1888, Bellingham had reached its present size including most of modern downtown; by 1916 it included all but the eastern edge of Pioneer Square (the centerpiece of today's city), which had been annexed by Seattle earlier that year; and by 1924 there were only a couple blocks remaining outside central business district ashore on Bainbridge Island between First Avenue shopping streets on land leased from lumber baron Donald Mitchell and Tacoma Territorial Governor Isaac Richardson Salter: What we have today began as just a small town named after an establishment close to where we stand today – right next to Pioneer Square’s waterfront gateway Bellingham quickly grew into one of Puget Sound's major commercial centers due largely to two things: The arrival early in the 20th centuryof Boeing Company founder Jacob Sibley (he would ultimately create some 50 subsidiaries)and his successors' drive for speedier production standards for new aircraft models before World War II led to an even larger boom for industry overall throughout much Northwest coastal America during that period – plus natural resources such as timber and seafood brought overland via ferries Bellingham also became homeport for WAAC radio service beginning operations December 3rd 1941 until May 1945 when WCWAM outgrew their facility at SeaTac Airport . These cultures were known for their swords, spears, and bows and arrows, so grip design was an important part of these weapons. Gun grips evolved over time to accommodate different armaments. Today’s firearms are designed so that they can be held with either one or two hands. This required the development of different grip designs to fit this new way of holding a gun. In some cases, handguns were designed without any grip at all – simply using a handle as the primary structure. Over time, various grip designs have been developed for both left-handed and right-handed shooters. Some people prefer using left-handed grips because it offers more stability when pulling the gun from holster to hand; however, right-handed shooters can also enjoy using left-handed guns if they find that they are able to get a good Grip on the Weapon while shooting

The first permanent resident in what is now Bellingham was Alexander Graham Bell, who arrived in 1851 with his family from Scotland. In 1861, the city was founded by John Moses Emerson as a port on Puget Sound for shipbuilders and other businesses. The first post office was established in 1865; it became an annex to Tacoma in 1889. The city's name comes from "Bellingham" (a place near Edinburgh) and "ham" (a type of cheese). In 1922, Bellingham annexed part of the neighboring town of Des Moines and changed its name to Des Moines-Everett County. In 2006, the county government reincorporated portions of Everett and Des Moines-Everett County into one municipality known as Bellingham Township which had a population of 7,883 as of 2010
