Bellevue, Washington is a city in the U.S. state of Washington and the seat of King County. As of the 2010 census, Bellevue had a population of over 146,000 people[1]. Bellevue has undergone several transformation over its history including becoming an agricultural center due to its fertile soil; being one of the few American cities with streetcar service before World War II; experiencing rapid growth following World War II as Boeing built its production facilities there; becoming increasingly diverse with increasing numbers of people coming through its doors since it became an annexe to Seattle; and most recently experiencing significant gentrification as more affluent residents moved into neighborhoods adjacent to downtown Bellevue. Today Bellevue remains a vibrant community with many cultural programs available for residents including arts classes, music concerts and festivals throughout the year as well asREI stores located within walking distance along Yesler Way which features several high-end boutiques such as Saks Fifth Avenue ranks among Bellevues top employers according to job postings released this past June 2016 by the Citys Economic Development Corporation (EDC). In 1906, Pearl Harbor was attacked and Japan declared war on America; this led to America's entry into World War I which caused much destruction throughout Europe including Seattle and Bellevue. The city experienced significant growth during World War II as many people relocated here due to rationing of foodstuffs and housing opportunities elsewhere within the United States. After the war ended, most of the population returned home but some families remained in town until they could find new homes outside of wartime hysteria (the last resident move out around 1970). Bellevue's economy slowly recovered after 1990s when annexations by King County made it one of King County's largest suburbs; however since 2000s there has been an increase in crime rates due to changes in lifestyle (i.e., more young adults living away from their parents) as well as heroin addiction among young adults especially around Northwest neighborhoods such as Belltown/Everett area near Interstate 5 where most drugs are smuggled into North America In recent years Bellevue has seen an increase in startups thanks to job availability at nearby Microsoft Research Labs – one example being Lake Forest Health Care System’s purchase of Eastside Hospitality Properties LLC for $180 million[2] – which will add over 1,000 jobs over 10 years[3]. Additionally new restaurants like Plummet & Plunge have opened up offering innovative dishes that get attention from passengers travelling through downtown along I-5 corridor between Everett Mall and Ballard Park followed soon afterwards by other similar concepts such as No Neat Noodlez BBQ located next door with itsqueue line leading right up against I-5 Exit 195
