The Battle Ground Shooting Protection Association (BGSPA) was formed in 1990 to provide a forum for the discussion of shooting protection issues in the town of Battle Ground, Washington. Our goal is to provide an understanding of current safety precautions and protocols used by gun owners and shooters in the community. We also hope to promote responsible firearms ownership and use within our community. In 1990, there were no dedicated shooting protection programs or organizations in Washington State. The BGSPA was created as a result of the tragic death of a young boy shot at close range by his father while he was taking pictures outside their home. It was through this tragedy that we began to develop our current safety procedures and policies for the safe handling of firearms within our community. Since its inception, BGSPA has been committed to promoting firearm safety within our community and working with local law enforcement to ensure that everyone who uses firearms in Battle Ground is aware of the necessary safety precautions they need to take while using their weapon. We believe that safe firearm usage is key to preventing tragedies like this from happening again – so please stay safe when carrying your gun around town!

Battle Ground, Washington is a census-designated place in Kitsap County, Washington, United States. The population was 5,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Seattle metropolitan area. The Battle Ground community was first established in 1851 as a small farming town near present-day Mount Olympus. The name came from General George Armistead's victory over Native Americans at the battle of Battle Ground on October 15, 1851. At one time, Battle Ground had five churches and about 100 residents. In 1907, theAsotin railroad company built a line from Tacoma to Olympia; this increased trade and travel through the area and brought more people to Battle Ground. In 1911, several stores opened in what are now downtown Battle Ground; these were followed by an electric power plant in 1914 and then a movie theater in 1922. In 1935, local farmers organized a boycott of Tacoma food distributors because they felt that prices being charged for farm produce were too high compared to those received by consumers in Tacoma. This led to the development of "The Farm Boy" grocery store chain which has been running ever since. In 1969, much of what is now downtown Battleground was purchased by developer Harry Weyerhaeuser for $2 million dollars; this included most of what is now known as Weyerhaeuser Park (the largest park within city limits). Over time many homes have been added to the neighborhood including many facing Lake Union Boulevard which provides beautiful views towards Downtown Seattle and Pioneer Square on King Street between First Avenue North and Third Avenue North

This shield consisted of a metal frame with a padded cloth cover that was worn over the shoulder or around the waist. The Lacey Shield quickly became one of the most popular shotgun protection items available on the market and has been used by competitive shooters for decades now!

In 1851, it became part of the Whitman Census tract. In 1892, BattleGround incorporated as a town and remained so until 1959 when it became an unincorporated community. In 1861, during the American Civil War, Battle Ground was one of three towns in King County that sided with Confederate forces over Union forces. The other two were Seattle and Olympia. After the war ended, many residents moved out to join their families in new settlements west of Seattle or south of Tacoma. However, some people lingered behind to keep their memories of Battle Ground alive and founded a small local paper mill which still operates today as Bellevue Publishing Co..
In 1846, the Potomac River was named after General George Washington. This area was part of what is now called the District of Columbia and it included present-day Washington and parts of Maryland and Virginia. The Battle Ground Massacre took place on July 6, 1846, when Native Americans attacked a party of soldiers at battle ground in Prince George's County. Eleven people were killed and twenty-five more were wounded.
