In the 1860s, Battle Ground was a small town in Washington County, Michigan. It was located on the eastern border of what is now Lansing and between Detroit and Flint. The area now known as Battle Ground was first settled by Native Americans in the late 18th century. The first European to come to this region was French voyageur François de la Salle in 1795. He named itafter himself, La Grange (the farm). Battle Ground changed hands several times during the Revolutionary War before becoming part of the United States in 1791. In 1812, it became part of Washtenaw County which then became part of Michigan Territory after the US acquired that territory from Britain. For most of its history, Battle Ground functioned as a farming community with a few stores and residences. The first recorded gun battle at Battle ground took place on November 21, 1814 when American troops drove British forces out of a local grocery store. The following year saw another skirmish when American soldiers attacked settlers who had taken up arms against them. During World War I, Battle ground served as an artillery range for US troops fighting in Europe. It also played host to some high-profile engagements such as the October 20th 1916 attack on Camp Niagara by American forces which resulted in over 100 deaths and extensive damage to nearby buildings; and May 8th 1918 assault on Vimy Ridge which led to more than 4500 casualties among both sides

In the 18th century, Battle Ground was a small town in Washington County, Ohio. It was located on the north bank of the Cuyahoga River about halfway between central Cleveland and the Canadian border. The battle took place near today's University Heights neighborhood on what is now Lake Erie Boulevard. In 1847, it was incorporated as a village and remained so until 1924 when it merged with neighboring Wyandotte to form Battle Ground Village Incorporated.

Battle Ground is a town located in King County, Washington on the Olympic Peninsula. The population was 1,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Soldotna–Anacortes–Tumwater Micropolitan Statistical Area. The Battle Ground area was first settled by the Coast Salish people in the late 18th century. In 1846, Gold Rush miners discovered gold here and began to arrive from all over Western Washington. By 1860, Battle Ground had become an important stop on stagecoach routes between Seattle and Tacoma. In 1862, during the American Civil War, Battle Ground was occupied by Confederate forces who fought under General John A. McClernand. In 1865, after fighting through winter conditions and being repulsed by Union forces at Fort Sumner, Confederate forces retreated to Olympia and Battle Ground became an open-air prison for Confederate prisoners of war until 1870. From 1870 to 1880, Battle ground served as a station on Puget Sound Railroad's "Great Northern" line between Seattle and Tacoma. In 1886, when King County was created within Washington Territory, Battle ground became its capital. The town continued to grow rapidly in subsequent decades with increasing industrial production (the largest employer being Boeing). Because of this growth and because of its close proximity toSeattle's population center (which made it difficult for businesses to expand), it has come to be known as "the engineering city." During World War II many battles were fought here including engagements at Anacortes Island and Nez Perce River crossing which resulted in many dead or wounded soldiers and civilians on both sides; these events are also mentioned extensively in various histories about that time period such as: "The History of King County" written by Jens Ludwig; "A History of Boeing Aircraft Corporation" written by Edwin Lefkowitz; etc...Today few if any reminders remain from this time period but what does remain makes for one beautiful reminder of our history!

In 1792, George Washington and his army fought a series of battles at Battle Ground in what is now Washington County, Virginia. The battle was the first of three meetings between Washington and the Continental Congress.
