However, when pistols began being created with more rounds that could be fired single shots, it became necessary for shooters to attach a hammer on each side of the gun barrel so that multiple shots could be fired simultaneously without having to reloading every time. This necessitated using a Hammer rather than just using your fingers to twist the screwdriver around until it came undone (see Figure 2). After Reconstruction Anacortes experienced rapid growth as a result of its key role in American industry during the early twentieth century; however it declined following World War II until becoming an inner-city community again following denationalization of most industries in 1948 which led to major job losses in shipyards and other manufacturing sectors throughout Puget Sound region including Anacortes.
