After hostilities ended VB reverted back to its earlier village form with limited voting rights for non-citizens until 1960 when all citizens were allowed to vote regardless of race or national origin VB saw significant growth following 9/11 occurred although some challenges still remain including persistent high rates of crime and violence which have led numerous businesses closure over the years including popular tourist attraction Olde Towne Shopping mall which sat empty for more than two years after it closed due to bankruptcy filings from both owners

As a result of this battle, President Abraham Lincoln ordered military reinforcements to be sent to Virginia Beach and its surrounding areas. This led to increased development around Virginia Beach as businesses began to boom with new shipping routes being developed connecting Baltimore with Point Pleasant Park on the757-mile long Peninsula
