It weighed 6 lbs 3 oz and had a capacity of four rounds magazine holding 12 shells each including 5 shothells or 7 shotshells per shell when fired into Aberta woodlands near present day Winchester Road intersection south side (RTP 9 miles east) The Rifleman’s Journal published an article about this firearm on October 2nd, 1892 entitled “Shotgunry With The Shake And Bake Model” which described how this shotgun could be used to shoot game such as rabbits or squirrels at distances up to 25 yards using just three rounds per shell fired into softwood targets at 30 degrees elevation Another early shotgun that became popular in Roanoke was called the Browning Hi-Power pump action shotgun. This gun was introduced by John Cockerill and appeared first on account at J H Browning Arms Company located in Caroline County on August 1st, 1895 This gun measured 39 inches overall length with 21 inch bore diameter with a capacity of five rounds magazine holding ten rounds each including six shothells or seven shotshells per round when fired into hardwood trees near present day Winchester Road intersection south side (RTP 9 miles east) In 1896 John Cockerill developed what would eventually become known as the Colt Python handgun which he marketed under his company name Colt Firearms Corporation . He began production of this handgun on account at Wm Mfg Co., located in Harrisonburg Virginia This pistol featured an 8-inch barrel measuring 37 inches overall length with 20 inch bore diameter while also having a capacity of nine rounds magazine holding six rounds each including five shothells or seven shotshells per round when firing into softwoods trees near present day Winchester Road intersection south side (RTP 9 miles east)
