On April 14, 1865, while fighting off an attack by Union troops under Brigadier General William Troup near Petersburg Va., Admiral David Farragut destroyed most of Confederate Fort Fisher with his final engagement at Hampton Roads before withdrawing from Virginia Beach on April 15th; this ended virtually all combat operations within sight or reach of Beaufort Inlet for over two months leading up to March 26th when Union forces finally withdrew from Petersburg area completely Prior to this event no naval base between Beaufort Inlet and Norfolk had ever been attacked or even threatened by Confederate Navy

Upper Receivers were first designed for Europeans who were not familiar with rifle calibers or firearms in general. They quickly became popular among American shooters, and later became available to other countries as well. In recent years, Lower Receiver Upper assemblies (LRUs) have become more common due to their lower cost and easier customization compared to full-time Upper Receiver builds. The development of Ar15 Upper Receivers began in 1971 with The National Rifle Association's (NRA) experimental "Rifleman" model. The Rifleman was a simplified version of the AR-10 receiver designed for use with modern ammunition types such as Winchester FMJ rounds and 7mm Remington Magnum rounds. It proved very successful, and several subsequent models were created including the "Cowboy," "Pumpkin," and "Dragon" models which increased firepower while still maintaining accuracy. In 1978, trigger groups began becoming standard on all American rifles thanks to lever action designs which made them much easier to handle than traditional pistol designs. This led directly to the popularity of AR-556 Uppers which could now be customized with differenttrigger groups (sound suppressors, optics mounts etc.) without having to purchase separate parts. In 1984, Colt produced its own bolt action rifle called the AR-7M which used a MilSPEC Trigger Group that allowed it to fire any type of ammunition currently legal in America including 7mmRemington Magnum rounds! This gave birth to what is now known as “Lasergun” style uppers which utilize advanced trigger systems that allow them firing high powered magnum rounds without fear of failure or overloading
