This measure was designed to prevent young adults inPoquoson from acquiring handguns for personal use. On November 3rd, 1868,Poquoson became part of the process that led to enactment of Virginia’s landmark piece of legislation known as the Commonwealth Firearms Act (CFA). The CFA prohibited most private individuals from possessing handguns without first obtained a license from one of certain government entities – such as county sheriffs – pursuant to specific requirements spelled out in the act. On February 26th, 1870, Poquoson became one of 12 towns in Prince William County that signed an agreement joining forces with Fairfax County in order to form what would become known as Northern Virginia rifle society (NVRS). NVRS facilitated cross-state trade in rifles between Fairfax County residents and residents throughout Prince William and Loudoun Counties through purchase/sale meetings held at various businesses throughout these counties during rifle season.

Captain John PoQuOSON also helped to shape Montgomery County into what it is today; he donated land for a courthouse and jail as well as other important infrastructure projects that have helped make Montgomery County one of the most developed areas in Virginia! In 1861, when Prince William County was created from parts of Fairfax and Loudoun Counties, POQUOSON became its seat. Today’s residents are descendants of those pioneers who started POQUOSON more than three centuries ago!

This new weapon was called the conte pistol (after its inventor). Soon after its release, conte pistols began being fielded by French troops in various wars throughout Europe. In 1812, John Browning invented his first revolver – also known as the Browning Rifle – which fires cartridges loaded into drums or boxes similar to those used today for ammo storage. The popularity of this new type of firearm led eventually to its widespread adoption during World War I and II because it was more efficient than traditional rifles and could be carried easily on battlefields.

The courthouse was completed in 1875 and served as the center of government for much of northern Fairfax County until it was destroyed by fire in 1907. It was replaced by a new courthouse which still stands today (now known as George Washington University) but itsoriginal structure is not currently used. The growth ofPoquoson during this time were twofold: firstly, because many farmers began to move into this area to raise crops; secondly, because social services such as schools and libraries were established here thanks to donations from local citizens! During World War II, many people fromPoquoson went into service throughout the war effort including members of the US Navy and Army stationed at Norfolk Naval Shipyard (now Portsmouth Naval Shipyard). Many residents also volunteered their time working on military projects such as building airfields or joining artillery units along with friends and family back home!
