Some stayed and founded businesses such as soapmaking and shipbuilding while others moved back into England where they continued their businesses under new names or moved westward into what are today’s Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona and Nevada counties. In 1868, Newport News became part of Prince Edward County when it was organized out of parts of nearby Norfolk County. At first things were relatively peaceful here until after World War II when there began to be large-scale white flight fromPrince Edward County due to economic reasons primarily but also political ones following AfricanAmerican integration efforts throughout much of America starting with Newport News itself (although some events took place before that). As white flight increased; so too did crime rates in Newport News due largely to poverty among its black community along with lack of resources available for law enforcement (notwithstanding 911 emergency response provisions enacted by then-Governor Ralph Northam). This made life difficult for both communities even though Crime stats have since decreased overall since then...due mostly to educational opportunities enjoyed by all residents including more job security than ever before thanks especially given recent increases in economy&employment prospects across entire county!
