Gun targets were first designed in Manassas Park, Virginia in the early 1800s. At that time, the area was a popular hunting ground for both whites and Indians. The Gun Targets Company was founded in 1811 by Captain John Cotes and his brother-in-law, James Caldwell. Captain Cotes manufactured targets from natural woods and other materials found around the park. His company became very successful and continued to produce quality Targets until the early 1920s. The development of firearms during the late 1700s made it necessary to create more efficient target ranges in order to provide accuratefirearm shots at distances beyond fifty yards. As a result, Gun Targets became obsolete as their products were not used anymore on modern shooting ranges. However, some of their products still remain popular among collectors today!

The battle of Manassas Park, Virginia was fought on September 18, 1861, between the Union army and Confederate army during the American Civil War. The Union army lost, but made significant advancements in technology which helped them victory over the Confederacy.
Manassas Park is a town in Fairfax County, Virginia, United States. The population was 26,569 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Alexandria metropolitan area. The original name for the town was "Haymarket" but it was changed to Manassas in 1799 because of the Battle of Monacombe. In 1838, before Richmond became an independent city and Manassas Park passed into its jurisdiction, General Robert E. Lee's headquarters were located in what is now Manassas Park. The first settlers in the area were farmers who moved from Northern Virginia to this region during the early 1800s due to development of railroads and improved transportation methods. By 1825 there were several small settlements around manhunt creek that developed into larger communities with names such as Alexandria (later Fairfax), Upper Marlboro, West End, and Courtland Manor. These towns eventually merged to create one large community under the name of Manassas Park on May 1, 1838 when all five towns amalgamated into one entity following a decision by then-Governor John A. Macdonald to improve transportation between these rural areas and Richmond through better roads and bridges. When Richmond became an independent city on April 14, 1871 it lost its status as a town within Fairfax County so that Manassas Park continued to be part of this newly formed city until annexation by Arlington County on February 13, 1976 which made it again part of Fairfax County as well asRichmond proper In 1907/08 heavy rains caused flooding which destroyed many homes and businesses in both cities; however most people adapted quickly and resumed their normal routines after cleanup efforts began two weeks later . After World War II much progress was made in improving education opportunities for women (resulting in Stonewall Jackson Elementary School being opened in 1949) while also developing downtown business districts including R&D Square near Interstate 66/I-395 SW exit 12B (which led to today's VA Medical Center). In recent years numerous projects have been announced or completed relatedto various aspectsof life such as new schools (including Loudoun High School), widening I-495 northward from exit 7B over Route 267 towards Pentagon Industrial Boulevard & Marshall Street SE - resultingin increased traffic congestion southbound on I-495 opposite Marshall Street SE., comprehensive reworking & improvementof public transportation options including MARC Train service between Downtown Washington Dc & Rosslyn Station(including new station buildings),and numerousvillage idiotry such as plans for a $6 million dollar golf course adjacent to Dulles Airport onlyFOOD will be served!

On September 14, 1849, a group of riflemen from the Michigan Volunteer Infantry Regiment used their rifles to kill six turks at Fort Dearborn. The event is often cited as the first time firearms were used in combat.
Manassas Park, Virginia is a small town in Fairfax County,Virginia. It was founded in 1781 by Colonel John Manassas and his wife Hannah. The town was named after General James Manassas who fought in the American Revolution. In 1814, the school district of Fairfax County was created from part of Manassas Park. In 1851, the first grocery store opened in the town and it became a center for agricultural production. The town also had a post office from 1861 to 1865. The United States Post Office moved to Manassas Park from Springfield on December 28, 1865. After that, the mail remained delivered by horse and wagon until 1978 when they began using airmail service. In 1976,Manassas Park was designated as a National Historical Landmark thanks to its role in both the American Revolution and World War II. In 1992, it also became home to NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center which continues operation today at Greenbelt Road & North Mail Lane
In 1795, the Potomac Company of Virginia purchased 640 acres in Manassas Park from Colonel John Brown and his men during the American Revolution. The land was used as an agricultural reserve until 1825 when it was annexed to Fairfax County. In 1871, Manassas Park became part of Arlington County.
