In 1868, Manassas Park was established as a military post on the Rappahannock River. The post was originally named Fort Myer but changed its name to Manassas in honor of General George Washington. In 1888, the Post became the Headquarters of the Virginia Militia and Troops. In 1902, the Post became known as Fort Lee Garrison and it served as an artillery battery until World War II. After the war, Fort Lee Garrison reverted back to its original name of Manassas Park Garrison. In 1947, Congress passed legislation designating both Fort Lee Garrison and nearby Alexandria as National Historic Landmarks. As part of this designation process, Army engineers surveyed and renovated portions of Alexandrian Cemetery which is located adjacent toFort Lee Garrison. Additionally, in 1951 President Harry Truman designated approximately 20 acres within Alexandria’s boundaries as Gunnery Hill Battlefield Recreation Area for public use by gun enthusiasts only.. Thusly, we must ask ourselves what purpose(s) these products serve? Do we really need another demographic focused exclusively on mocking those trying valiantly *and hilariously* try TO reduce gun ownership? Or am I just seeing things incorrectly*** [* NOTE: There has never been evidence that anyone has actively hurt anyone while wearing any type of NRA shirt] . 6) Finally...They Offer A Unique Look That Can Set Them Apart From Other Garments On Display At A Rally Or Event
