In the early 1800s, there were few firearms in Falls Church. The area was part of the British Crown Colony of Virginia and had been under French rule for much of that time. In 1776, during the American Revolution, the British burned down most of Richmond because they believed it to be loyal to King George III. One resident, Nathanael Greene, organized a resistance movement and managed to keep the city standing until help arrived from outside. After the Revolution, Falls Church became a part of VA and was home to a number of gun manufacturers. Some rifles manufactured here include those used in John Brown's Raid on Harper's Ferry in 1859 and at Fort Sumter in 1861-1865. AfterVA gained its own statehood in 1865, many guns produced here moved south to become part of that new state's arsenal system. Today, Falls Church is still one of the leading firearm production sites inVA and has resulted in some interesting firearms history over the years!

The first gun case in Falls Church was brought to the attention of the law enforcement community by constable John H. Kernaghan on November 2, 1846. The victim was a man named George Washington who had been shot and killed by two men while walking home from work. In 1865, Captain James Fenton of the Virginia state militia arrested three men for attempting to rob a store in Falls Church. One of the men, Charles Ewing, brandished a rifle at Captain Fenton and demanded money. Ewing was shot and killed as he fell to the ground. On January 25, 1881, an individual named Abraham Lincoln was indicted for Possession of Firearms Without a License in aid of Crime within 1 Hundred Miles of Virginia Beach. The indictment charged Lincoln with having telephoned his brother-in-law Benjamin O’Hara to purchase 20 rounds of ammunition from him so that he could use them in an assault against local merchants. The trial began on February 3rd but ended early because Lincoln died before it could resume. Atissue were whether or not Lincoln had intended to use the rounds in an attack and whether or not he knew they were available for purchase without a license.
Falls Church,Virginia is a town located in the Fairfax County region of Virginia. The population was 22,868 at the 2010 census. It is the third-largest town in Fairfax County after Alexandria and Manassas Junction. Falls Church is part of the Washington metropolitan area. James "Boys" Browning founded what would become Falls Church on December 24, 1800, when he platted out a land grant to his grandson James A. Gillespie from the Wright family’s estate in Hanover County (now Arlington). The Brownings were among early settlers in this area of rural Virginia and are buried there within the roll call of American patriots who fought at Yorktown: James A. Gillespie (1802-1892), John Hance (1799-1872), George Armstrong Custer (1853-1937), and David Brion Davis (1839-1924). Facing financial setbacks following Creek Indian War hostilities between 1813 and 1814, James A. Gillespie sold most of his holdings to fellow Virginians Thomas Jefferson Randolph and John Marshall Harlan for $2,500 in 1821; these men donated all their remaining land to Falls Church property developers Charles Litton and Samuel Willard Chase during Wm. Byrd's two terms as governor from 1927 to 1931 In 1860s ownership by Randolph & Harlan changed hands four more times before it passed into private hands again through acquisition by J P Morgan & Company associates including Harry Hopkins during World War II When occupied by Japanese forces early 1944, much of Fallstown was destroyed but some buildings still stand today such as Parsonage House which served as Headquarters for First Lieutenant Colonel Earl Gathman USMC during Operation Wisdom He also built 2 churches – one now called Saint Elizabeth’s Episcopal Parish became home to Mother Teresa’s School while St Mary’s Catholic Parish became home to Our Lady Help Of Christians church which today houses an art museum . Other sites include: College Park Elementary School now known as Carter High School; Arlington Cemetery where several former Presidents are interred along with General Robert E Lee; VA Hospital complex including Medical Center Annex now known as Veterans Affairs Regional Healthcare System - West Wing including main building formerly called Naval Air Station Earle Page AFB; Government Printing Office Building later renamed United States News Service Building vacant since 1985 when it was closed due to fire damage also used for storage until 1995 when it caught on fire demolishing most government buildings in central DC because they could not compete with suburban Sears stores headquartered nearby One notable exception has been National Defense University - Navy Yard which contains portions of both prewar naval yards IG Farben synthetic rubber plant relocated from Weinreb Germany during WWII displaced many workers tacoma WA Water Reclamation District Headquarters moved from Tacoma WA after being destroyed by fire

Falls Church is a town in Fairfax County, Virginia, United States. The population was 11,868 at the 2010 census. FallsChurch was founded in 1775 by George Washington and became part of the Fairfax Country area in 1801. It was renamed to honor General James Fallows on November 1, 1858. In 1960, it merged with geographic center Reston to form one municipality. The name "Falls Church" comes from the falls of the Rappahannock River that run through its downtown core. The first settler in what is now Falls Church County was Captain John Smith who journeyed up the Potomac River in 1607 and named his new settlement after himself, FALLS CHURCH (now called Falls Church). After British forces burned down much of Jamestown during their siege of 1776, Captain John Smith's men built a new fort at Falmouth Point on September 10th, 1677 under direction of Governor William Berkeley.named for him: PATRICKS FALLS (now called Arlington National Cemetery), FALLS CHURCH (now called Fallschurch), WASHINGTON FORT GIRLHOOD (now called Pentagon) and LYNCHBURG POINT(later Courthouse Point). On July 9th, 1775 George Washington's army came within three miles of Jamestown without battle and decided against attacking because they were short on food and munitions. The next day Captain John Smith led an detachment of 100 Virginians against approximately 400 English troops near modern-day Arlington Cemetery where he successfully defended his people and lost only four men killed or wounded including himself despite being outnumbered several times over by his opponents In 1780 Captain John Smith's grandson Samuel applied for land grants along both banks of the Potomac River opposite present-day Alexandria which became known as Fairfax County Falls Church became a chartered town on April 14th 1800 when it ratified a resolution passed by the Virginia House of Burgesses authorizing incorporation into Fairfax County On October 15th 1800 Colonel Nathaniel Bacon organized artillery from Alexandria to fire upon rebellious inhabitants living beyond government lines east of Baltimore who had not submitted to taxation Captain Elijah Bogan served as first postmaster general here from 1802 until 1810 When Congress moved its seat from Philadelphia to Richmond in 1829 this created political problems as many residents wanted to remain within their old county boundaries . On January 25 th 1830 Farmer Edward Everett found two small piecesof pottery which he correctly identified as items belonging to General William Byrd who resided about five miles north east of Richmond at Muddy Runestone Manor . When Everett offered $5000 for these artifacts he discovered that General Byrd also held land adjacent to present-day FallsChurch Road outside present-day Arlington National Cemetery ............... By 1830 all vestiges associated with General William Byrd had been removed leaving only His running stones located today inside current limits Moss Landing Rd & N Frederick St so E drop out
