Additionally they are also more likely than any other U.S. county to identify themselves as "religious."

Fullington, Fairfax County, Virginia is a census-designated place in Northern Virginia, United States. The population was 9,813 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Washington metropolitan area. The town of Fairfax was founded in 1755 as a small hamlet on the Rappahannock River by Col. George Washington and his retinue of officers and men during their drive from Hagerstown to Williamsburg. The name "Fairfax" originated with General John Forbes's order to name the new county after him (the Colonel had been killed in action during the Battle of Saratoga). In 1801, local residents raised funds for construction of what would become known as President George Washington University. By 1870, it had grown to include about 60 buildings on six acres (2 ha). In 1881, Fairfax became an incorporated village when many farmsteads within its boundaries were combined into one municipality under the same name. In 1907, voters passed a resolution that called for incorporation as a separate town; this proposal failed but led to further growth in the community over time. On January 1, 1954, all villages within Fairfax County were merged into one entity called "Fullington". In 1965–1966 referendum passage by County Council resulted in enactment of legislation creating two townships within Fullington – Cheminard and Westfall – each with a population of just over 100 people. These townships experienced rapid growth following their incorporation into Fullington Township; by 1990 they totaled 536 people living in 107 homes and businesses located along four streetsJROTC base operated out of an air conditioned garage adjacent to High School until 1997 when ground was broken for home schooling programs adjacent to Culpeper High School The township has since undergone several expansions which have increased its population size up to 2,000 people now residing in 234 homes & businesses across eight streets including: Main Street between Rt 20 & 21AVEVA Medical Center & Recreation Area off I-95 next door east side south side west end
