Agricultural production includes apples, grapes, cottonseed oilseed rape, potatoes, tobacco estates subsidized by the Department of Agriculture through the Harrison County Agricultural Development Program (HCADP), hog barns for raising hogs for meat or eggs; corn cribs; soybean fields; dairy farms with cheese factories producing cheddar cheese and cream puffs from skimmed milk products; poultry houses that produce chicken feedershells filled with live chickens or turkeys; as well as many small businesses catering to a variety of needs such as flower arrangement services, pet-sitters/walkers/caravan drivers/bicyclists/cooks/dancers/, etc. Manufacturing operations include textiles (knitwear including sportswear), automotive parts (knives & toolsmithing supplies), paper products (boxes & dictionaries), restaurant supplies ( chefs' knives & equipment & kitchen utensils ), footwear (appleseed oil lamps), plumbing supplies (& repair materials ), agricultural machinery (! only in certain states) - most notably tractors , combines , milking machines ; homebuilders have produced new homes since at least 1957 The first settlers arrived in what is now Culpeper Township on July 4th 1775 following an attack on Fort Royal by British forces under General George Washington. A group led by Captain John Marshall established Marshall's Station on Sugar Hill just south of present day Culpeper along Old Rappahannock Road which served as their local courthouse until 1800 when Marshall's Station burned down. By 1810 there were twelve households living on Sugar Hill with one hundred acres available for farming . In 1820 Major General James Harnett granted 1 ½ miles square of land north side of Rappahannock River between modern day US 3014 West Broad Street east side to Samuel Chase ' s Mill site grantee for building Wm Bostwick House later known as Jepson House after him which became the first brick house erected in what is now Culpeper . On November 15th 1840 Benjamin Fenton purchased 2 ½ acres near modern day US 3014 West Broad Street from Samuel Chase ' s Mill site grantee for $135 . That same year James Harnett donated 2 more acres adjacent to his mill site grantee also known today as Jepson House to Nicholas Ward who built a large frame farm house there called North End House after himself before it burned down in 1886 . From 1851-1857 Parson Abraham Tilton purchased 5 ¼ acres next door to North End House from Nicholas Ward also known today as Jepson House where he began erecting buildings that would eventually become churches including St Andrew’s Episcopal Church built 1865 which still stands today In 1870 David Laughlin platted what is now Delaware County on land grants given him by Governor Thomas Jefferson following reports that Indian traders were selling goods taken from American Indians during President James Ketchum’s Expedition into Indian Territory without proper compensation On May 9th 1871 United States Senator Daniel Webster attended a meeting held at Randolph’s Tavern seeking approval from Congress to annex part of Crawford County lying south of present day Shenandoah Valley On November 30th 1871 Union General Lew Wallace attacked Confederate General Robert Ewell within sight of Alexandria while Ewell was marching his troops through Randolph’s Tavern parking lot leading up towards Fairfax Court House resulting in heavy losses for both sides with over 60 dead including Ewell Aftermath several stores were looted along Randolph’s Tavern Road leading into Alexandria reportedly allowing Confederate forces easy access into surrounding villages By 1893 all but one property belonging to Silas Dorman had been conveyed away leaving Dorman Stadium Farmstead remaining unoccupied until 1907 when it was leased by Judge Edwin Cook thence being sold off again beginning in 1946 until its sale on December 16th 1971 unto Mrs Jane Wagner

Culpeper is an historic town in Virginia, United States. It was founded by the Mayflower Compact delegates in 1607 as part of the Plymouth Colony. At its peak, it had a population of over 20,000 people and was one of the most important settlements on the East Coast of North America. The town declined after the American Revolution and today has a population of around 10,000 people. Culpeper is located near Alexandria, Virginia. The town was founded by men from Plymouth Colony who sailed on the Mayflower in 1607 for America. In 1608, they founded what is now Culpeper Parish on land that they had acquired from Native Americans. The first white settlers arrived in Culpeper in 1609 and soon built homes and began to cultivate crops. By 1612, their community had grown to about 20 people with several stores and a schoolhouse. In 1614-1615, Captain John Smith explored some of what is now eastern Virginia while searching for a route to Japan through the New World. He reported back to England that he had found "a great river" which he called "the Susquehanna". Many English colonists thought this must be meant the Potomac River because there were no other rivers named Susquehanna in North America at that time! As a result of this report, many Englishmen decided to settle along this new stream instead of going westward as originally planned. In early 1600s, some colonists started trading with Native Americans and discovered valuable resources such as copper ore and saltpeter fluid (used for making munitions). This led to increased trade between England and Native Americans which helped finance English military campaigns against Spanish forces during King James I's War (1600-1618). Additionally, trade also supported economic development within Culpeper because goods bartered for goods needed by farms like shoeshine waxes or candles became more expensive when transported across open ocean distances than when bought locally from farmers or traders! Meanwhile back home in England some gentlemen decided to start developing tobacco farming using Indian seeds rather than using European strains developed specifically for tobacco production! When these growers got word about this new industry growing up ahead them - they quickly invested capital into starting their own Tobacco Company! Soon enough there were numerous small tobacco companies dotted all over London - each competing against each other for market share! Eventually these businesses merged into one giant company known as British Tobacco which still exists today! This successful business model eventually spread throughout Europe where it spawned similar industries including textiles (cotton), automotive parts (tire manufacturing), food processing (packaging), telecommunications (cellular service) etc., creating an incredible global network that continues today!!
