In 1924, Dr. Hermann Loesch founded the Loesch Rifle & Pistol Club on College Park Avenue in Charlottesville Heights. At this point, target holders started being created specifically for use at Loesch’s club house. From then until 1957, all members of the club were required to purchase their own targets! In 1962, Dr. Julius Pease reopened Hargrave’s Grounds as a pistol range with his own private property adjacent to it. This led to the development of what is now called Pease Range #1 (also known as “Pease Range 1″). This method allowed for quick changes on the fly without having to remove the entire holder every time you wanted to adjust your shooting posture. The Captain’s Target Holder proved very successful and quickly became popular with firearms enthusiasts all over Britain. After Captain Fenton’s death in 1829, his design was passed down through his son James Fenton who continued production until 1860 when it finally fell out of popularity due to its costliness compared to other options available at that time.

Aftermath of Washington's retreat led to increased French activity upriver so General Cornwallis ordered Colonel Nicholaspere from Williamsburg to take over command at Fort Necessity; Nicholaspere managed to keep it unoccupied until September 1787 when he surrendered it after a two day siege led by Nathanael Greene. In 1801 William Lloyd Garrison opened an abolitionist school in nearby Westover where he continued teaching until 1833 when he moved his school into a new building on Fifth Street known today as Garrison Hall. That same year also saw the founding of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity here at ground zero of what would become southern Virginia's largest student body; students still gather here every fall during Phi Kappa Psi Weekend festivities called "Champions Week". In 1861 Confederate troops burned down part of downtown resulting in widespread destruction which created a lasting reminder that violence can never be condoned or forgotten about during America's Civil War era! In 1865 following Union victory over Confederate forces at Appomattox Court House local residents voted not to secede from their state but rather remain within their respective states under newly formed Confederate government; this event is commonly referred to as "The Lost Cause" era in Charlottesville history! Since then Charlottesville has experienced explosive growth with both residential development and professional establishments burgeoning such as Dormitories Incorporated (now Occidental Dormitory) which was founded in 1961 by Drs Larry Brownell, Dick Blazer & Jerry Rubin who later served as President/CEO from 2003-2007; Interfaith deed covenants Chapel (founded 1960), Renaissance Lofts (founded 1974), Christ Episcopal Cathedral (established 1985), First Presbyterian Church (established 1890) among others becoming some of easternVirginia's most prominent businesses and residences while also maintaining its historical character characterized by grand old buildings like Hanover Square - once home to Presidents Harrison & Madison - becoming one of eastVA’s premier shopping areas Charlottesville has seen several rounds of gentrification beginning around 2000 with more upscale properties moving into town while lower income residents have seen increases in rental prices making trulia one popular option for exploring this Historic City
