Over time, different arms companies were formed within RSHA, each responsible for producing specific types of firearms such as pistols, rifles, shotguns and machine guns. These companies produced ammunition at various facilities around Vienna until 1938 when World War II began. The war led to great technological advances for munitions manufacturers including improvements in propellant mixture design and manufacturing processes; development of new Explosives Safety Regulations; better storage methods; improved technology for detonating explosives charges; increased demand for ammunition output from both military and civilian sources; and ultimately increased casualties due to air raids on urban areas combined with artillery bombardments during combat operations
The first breechloading rifle was the Winchester Repeating Rifle, which was made in 1892. The Winchester Model 1895 was the first true modern sniper rifle and it fired the 7.62x51mm NATO round. It became popular among snipers because of its accuracy and long range.
