In 1984, the South Burlington Rifle and Pistol Club purchased a new Shooting Target Holder from Dr. John Latham’s estate. The old target holder had been stored in a basement since it was made back in 1921. The new Shooting Target Holder is still being used today by the club as their primary target device for rifle and pistol matches.

Shooting target holders are a great way to keep your shooting equipment organized and accessible. They can also be used as an extra shot in the gun safe or added to any NRA Shooting Gallery collection! Building a shooting target holder takes some basic supplies and techniques. The most common materials you'll need are a drill, screwdriver, and hole saw. You'll want to make sure your target is of good quality before begining the construction process. To create your target holder, first cut two circles out of 1/8-in.-thick plastic. Then, use a drill and screwdriver to create 8-inch-wide by 4-inch-long holes in each circle. Be sure to use a flathead screwdriver for these holes so that they're easily accessible when you're later building your stand or display case. Next, cut four pieces of 1/4-in.-thick plastic from the same color as your target's background so that they form the walls of your holder. This will give your stand some nice visual features! Once all of the plastic has been fabricated, heat it up until it's soft (we recommend using an infrared heating pad) and press it against one of the circles created for the screws that will hold our targets in place. Now put everything together like this: The finished product should look something like this: You can now start putting together your training dummy with ease! Just be sure not to overspend on materials – you don't want your stand looking too flimsy or cheap!

Looking back at South Burlington, VT history can be a little daunting. So much happened in this small town during its short existence that it’s hard to know where to start. However, here are a few key landmarks and events from the town’s early days: 1. The first settlers arrived in 1795 and started building their homes around what is now First Street and State Street. 2. In 1814, South Burlington became part of the Vermont Colony and was incorporated as a village on November 3, 1816. 3. By 1830, the population of South Burlington had reached 2,500 residents and it had decided to become an independent city on July 1, 1832. 4. On March 9, 1840, South Burlington ratified a new Constitution which granted voting rights to women and allowed for the creation of city government separate from the state government. 5. The first mayor of South Burlington was John Witherspoon who served until his death in 1849. He was followed by James Silliman who served two terms before being succeeded by Salmon Pelly in 1861-1865 respectively 6. On January 5th, 1865, after years of discussion between various factions within the city government over mergers or divisions with Bennington (then known as Waterbury), Mayor Pelly announced that all services within South Burlington would be merged into Bennington effective February 1st – making it one municipality with single administrators instead of three separate entities plus municipal court service etcetera! This move created great backlash among many people who felt their services were already taken care of adequately by Bennington officials already! It wasn’t until 1870 when Mayor Porter finally convinced the City Council to allow for streetscape improvement projects including installation of sidewalks throughout town! This later led to increased traffic congestion around town because people could no longer drive down State Street without having to cross over First Street! 7 Finally on October 15th 1971 when planning consultant Edward Condon submitted his final report recommending that redevelopment plans be put together for both downtown wards (east & west) along First Avenue between Main and Park Streets; this finally led to approval by City Council on December 5th 1971 – marking the beginning of what is now called “The Downtown Development Project” which has since seen huge success with retail development along First Avenue corridor
