In 1892, a company by the name of Winchester Manufacturing Company began making ammunition in Washington, Utah. Ammunition production continued until 1951 when it was sold to the Remington Arms Company. The Remington Arms Company continued making ammunition under their own name until 1978 when they were purchased by Browning Firearms Corporation. Ammunition production resumed with Browning Firearms Corporation until 2003 when they were purchased by Hornady Ammunition Company. In that year, Hornady Ammunition Corporation ceased manufacturing ammo and all of its products were merged into the larger company American Eagle Ammo.

They found that only Winchester rounds were available, and so they bought some and returned home. The result was a little-known event in American history – the first time that ammo buyers from one state went into another to purchase rounds.
Washington, Utah is a small town in the Wasatch Mountains of western Utah. The population was 8,876 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Ogden-Clearfield-Ogden, UT Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community of Washington was founded by Stephen A. Douglas on November 3, 1847 as a station on the Pacific Railroad between Salt Lake City and Provo. On February 17, 1850, it became the permanent seat of government for all territorial districts west of Deadwood canyon. The first settler in what is now Washington was George Fenton who arrived in 1847 from Illinois and homesteaded land east of Cedar Creek on December 7th. He named his land "Fenton's Station" after himself and his brother-in-law John Fenton (1815–1882). His wife Sarah Prentice had come with him to America from England in 1837 and they married there that year also. They established a tavern called "Prentice's Inn". George Fenton's son Isaac arrived later that year and built a sawmill on Cedar Creek which he ran until 1862 when it was destroyed by fire; this mill formed the nucleus around which what is now Washington grew. In 1863 prominent local citizen Lorenzo Snow donated 25 acres (10 ha) to become Capitol Hill Park with Initially no school or citizens were allowed within view but gradually more people showed up until it eventually had its own post office in 1865 with Solomon Mims serving as first mail carrier! Over time more buildings were added such as churches, schools and an opera house before becoming fully developed into one large town about 45 minutes outside Salt Lake City on US Highway 15A/Uintah Road 9 – making it one of only two Ute towns in Utah! The other being American Fork! Washington quickly became known for its produce – apples being especially popular – along with hosting many Agricultural shows throughout the years including onesfeaturing prize bulls and hogs etcetera but mostly just merchants selling their products! One early resident described it thusly: “We have five stores where you can buy everything you would want or need” Today these businesses still thrive although some newer additions have been made such as an ice cream parlor complete with drive thru window! Another attraction has been its rich history thanks to numerous items found inside various government buildings like law enforcement HQs etcetera making it ideal research destination for historians looking at modern day Utah politics etcetera

Fremont. They left behind an estimated 10,000 acres (4 km2) of land that would become Salt Lake Valley. The first white person to live in what is now Utah was Mormon Apostle Brigham Young who arrived with his followers in January 1849 on the Relief Society wagon train headed for Missouri under the leadership of Young’s father, Joseph Smith Jr.. On February 12th mobs attacking Nauvoo Saints protesting polygamy burned down Joseph Smith’s home and killed his family including his two young daughters Emma Roper and Hyrum Smith—the only victimsicides in American history up to that time. In 1850 Brigham Young organized a militia unit called the Nauvoo Legion which served as an auxiliaries to General David Hunter's army during the Mexican-American War (1846–48). After being defeated at Palo Alto on November 11th he retreated across the Great Basin into Utah Territory where he founded Provo City on December 6th 1850 following a victory against Spanish troops at Sutter's Fort on October 13th 1850 while under cover of night with 1000 soldiers supported by canon fire from nearby hillsides; this event marksPerhaps America's first major military victory outside North America since independence
