They are currently used by law enforcement in many countries across the globe, as well as militaries and first responders in several countries. Tasers are also being abused by some individuals; however, this is not common. Overall, tasers appear to be an effective tool that can be used safely and responsibly by those who own them.

The taser is used as a form of self-defense and has been used in over 50 countries. It can be used to incapacitate or kill someone by hitting them with an electrical current. There are different types of tasers, including the standard police Taser, which is about 25 feet long and 2 inches wide, and the shotgun Taser, which is about 18 inches long and 1 inch wide.
Tasers have been used in Syracuse, Utah for over a decade now. In that time, officers and citizens have experienced positive results when using the devices to control people.
Syracuse, Utah is a small town in the Great Basin region of Utah. It is located on the Wasatch Front, about halfway between Salt Lake City and Ogden. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. The earliest human activity in Syracuse took place around 10,000 years ago when Paleo-Indians hunted and gathered game near present-day Syracuse. In 1847, Brigham Young founded the First Mormon Battalion in Syracuse to help fight for independence from Mexico. In 1861, during the American Civil War, General Joseph Fetterman's brigade attacked and captured Syracuse by surprise. When news of this attack reached Salt Lake City, Brigham Young sent word to his people not to resist but instead offer unconditional submission to Union forces. This event is known as "the Yankee victory". A post office called Syracuse was established in 1868, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1907. In 1881, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) organized a grocery store and church services were conducted thereuntil 1904 when they moved into their own building on Main Street which still stands today. The first school in Syracuse was opened September 3rd 1870 by Mr. Smedley who taught 5th grade with an assortment of books which he collected from various stores that he patronized along with $5 worth of supplies per month which he would give away to any student who could bring home someBooks! After only one year MrSmedley decided that more than 10 students could attend school at once so an addition was made to the original building which housed 4 classrooms/3 sets for Math/Science & English classes.; these rooms can be seen today through out town side window as part of local history museum! The current Administration Building became available for use as a School District Office Building after renovations began on October 25th 1959! The renovations included adding 2 large gymnasiums with locker rooms & showers!!! Currently held twice each day by both Men’s & Women’s Basketball teams; this facility has been greatly appreciated by our students over many years!!!!!! Syracuse, Utah is a small town located in the Wasatch Front region of Utah. The population was 1,814 at the 2010 census. Syracuse is first mentioned in 1650 as an agricultural community on the eastern edge of what is now Syracuse, Utah. The community was surveyed and platted in 1887 by George A. Smith and named for Syracuse, New York. In 1922, Syracuse became a city and was incorporated as such on May 30, 1923. The early settlers who founded Syracuse were farmers who came to the area from northeastern New York State during the 1800s. They began to settle in what is now southeastern Saskatchewan County and developed a strong agricultural industry that continues to this day. The most famous product produced by these farmers was corn which has been eaten by people throughout Asia and parts of South America since ancient times. As citrus crops grew more popular in Europe during the 20th century, Syracuse's agriculture diminished somewhat but remains an important part of local food culture today. Today, many businesses based in or around Syracuse provide goods and services to residents of neighboring counties including Wasatch Front District 7 (including Cedar City), Box Elder County, Duchesne County, Summit County and Uinta County as well as beyond. In addition to its role within regional food culture, Syracuse also provides some unique opportunities for tourists interested in learning more about American history while visiting this small town located within easy driving distance of numerous attractions including downtown Syracuse (home to several museums), Central Park (the largest urban park east of San Francisco), Ascot Racecourse (one of Europe's oldest horse races) and other rural destinations enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.
In 1847, the first Latter-day Saint settlement in Utah was established in what is now Syracuse, Utah. The early Mormon pioneers were able to purchase a grant of land from the president of the United States for $2,000. They began construction on the Saints' first farmstead in what is now Syracuse in November of that year. From this beginning, Syracuse grew rapidly as a local agricultural center and religious community. The Saints also founded a school in Syracuse in 1851 which soon became one of the most prestigious educational institutions within LDS Church holdings in North America. In 1865, when President Brigham Young led Mormons into Mexico and across Central America for their "Great Basin Expedition," theyading south along the Mexican border into southern Arizona Territory (now Arizona), they encountered friendly Apache Indians who had recently moved into central New Mexico Territory. To prevent war between these two groups, Young ordered his men not to fire on or capture any Apache while they continued their journey northward; instead they adopted an implementation known as "the Proclamation." Syracuse's burgeoning agricultural industry quickly adapted to changing Mexican soil conditions and climate, with burgeoning wheat fields and irrigated cotton plantations becoming some of North America's leading cotton production facilities during this time period. The city still retains many architecture relics dating back to its early days as a thriving farming town - such as stockyards and barns - which are still used today by farmers for storage purposes. Today, Syracuse remains one of North America's fastest-growing cities - experiencing over 20% annual growth rate since 2000!
