The Chamberlain's Hanger had two sets of posts that were attached together with a belt loop. This type of hanger continued to be used until about 1875 when it was replaced by a more modern system.
South Ogden, Utah is a city located in Kane County, Utah, United States. The population was 11,829 at the 2010 census. It is the only city in Kane County and it is part of the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. South Ogden grew up around the LDS Church's Tabernacle Choir which until 1973 performed daily services from their original location on Main Street (). The first post office in South Ogden was established on October 15, 1881, by Wm. Fenton with a population of four. The first store operated on Old Mill Road (). On November 3rd 1882 Brigham Young delivered an address to the people of South Ogden calling for them to unite with him and form a new town (today known as North Ogden). A vote was held on December 1st and by unanimous decision they voted to name their new town South Ogden. On July 10th 1898 Hyrum Smith became Mayor and John White Vice Mayor of South OgDEN after being elected as alderman from Ward 2 representing the voided section of Saint George which includes present day Loganville/Hollywood etc., southward along I-15 to Bearskin Drive including what are now Draper and Sandy valleys . This action removed much legal wrangling between these two cities that had been going on for years over who would get to build what projects near Brigham Young University (BYU) property east of Main Street (). When Brigham Young died in 1879 his funeral procession passed throughSouth Ogden where many people threw flowers at his carriage until he reached home which caused some concern because there wasn't any road leading directly from downtown South Ogden to BYU. Accordingly Mayor John White ordered all flower pots parked outside Clear Creek Cemetery to be taken down as it made business difficult for local businesses trying to park next door without special permits! In 1902 when LDS Church President Lorenzo Snow arrived inSalt Lake City he decided that main street should be renamed "Deseret Boulevard" in honor of Saints Lorenzo Snow, Spencer Wigham and Orson Hyde who had all served during the First Presidency under Joseph Fielding Smith prior to his death in 1904. A group led by Orson Hyde formed a citizens' committee called "The Improvement Association" which purchased land adjacent to Deseret Boulevard from Buena Vista Land & Mining Company () so that they could build an athletic stadium adjacent thereto (now known as Rice-Eccles Stadium). After months of discussion over plans for this stadium various members finally agreed upon building a replica courthouse using cut stone brought downriver from Provo Canyon () using craftsmanship rare enough for such an undertaking having never before been seen within Salt Lake Valley (). Work on this project began on Saturday October 12th 1902 just one week after President Snow's arrival and was completed two days later!!!!!

South Ogden, Utah is a census-designated place in Iron County, Utah, United States. The population was 931 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. The community was named for South Ogden, in what is now Weber County, Nebraska. In 1871 Brigham Young appointed Jens Jensen as the first postmaster and built a small station there on his return trip from an expedition to California. In 1907 South Ogden had a population of 146 people when it became the site of a new LDS temple located on State Street adjacent to US-19 and US-15 (now I-80). That same year the old LDS temple was razed and replaced by another temple on Main Street which remains standing today as one of South Ogden's most popular tourist attractions. South OgDEN has experienced some growth over time including annexation by Cedar City in 1995; however its municipally run grocery store remains one of its most important institutions.
The first permanent settler in South Ogden was John Childs, who came to the area in 1829. He built a cabin on the east side of South Ogden Creek. The town name was derived from this location. In 1836, Brigham Young founded the Deseret News and Press in Salt Lake City, which became one of the most influential newspapers in America. In 1850, Mormon pioneers arrived in South Ogden and began building homes and churches. By 1860, there were over 100 residents living in South Ogden. In 1865, Brigham Young announced that Utah would become a state and South Ogden became its capital. The town's growth continued until it had a population of around 1,000 people by 1890. During this time, business interests included shops and restaurants as well as white-owned businesses catering to settlers and miners from surrounding counties.
