Additionally, some rifles will not fit on Weaver saddles because they do not feature picatinny rails on all sides - this means you'll need either an adapter or modification to use an orthopedic rifle stock with a Weaver ringmounting system like those from USP Tactical or Millett & Brownells Inc.). South Ogden, Utah is a town in Kane County, Utah, United States. The population was 2,691 at the 2010 census. It was founded on November 3, 1861 by Latter-day Saint polygamist Brigham Young and his wife Emma. South Ogden became an incorporated town on February 22, 1893. The first post office opened in South Ogden on July 1, 1892. The early arrivals to the area were farmers who came overland from Illinois because of the forbidding climate there. They set up homes near where they now live on State Street and Richards Road (now Main Street). In 1869 Brigham Young organized a group of Latter-day Saints to prospect for land in this area and erected a cabin near present day Cottonwood Heights. They named the settlement after Mount Zion which they had seen in a vision while traveling through Missouri. In 1870–71 some of the Saints went into what is now Kane County to assess local resources for possible settlement including claims made along Cedar Creek and Snake River Gorge northeast of modern day South Ogden; these claims are still part of Kane County today as Cedar Mesa National Wildlife Refuge and Snake River Gorge Recreation Area respectively. After surveying all of Kane County it was decided that only about six miles (10 km) would be necessary for wagon travel between Nauvoo City and South Ogdensite so settlers began moving westward from Nauvoo towards what is now Logan Airport in 1886 with help from George Wickenheiser’s horseback ride around Cache Valley. By 1889 most everyone living within two miles (3 km) of either Salt Lake City or Logan had moved out because of harsh winters –today’s Logan airport lies within one mile (1 kilometer) of both cities center—and new markets developed farther east: Coalville offered easy access to coal supplies thanks to its location atop high mountain ranges; Provo began receiving large shipments of goods needed for garment production from eastern Europe; Deseret Industries emerged as one major player in regional commerce; agricultural development increased with irrigation systems being developed throughout southern Utah; automobiles became available starting around 1912 when new roads were built following federal highways established during World War I On October 17th 1890 Brigham Young married his second wife Emma Hale at Springdale Village just outside present day Springdale, UT
