In the 1920s, local ranchers set up their own ranges. The first true shooting range in SouthJordan was built on the old W apostles Seminary property in 1934 by Dr. Harry Henschel and his son-in-law, Clarence Post. The Henschels ran the range until 1951 when it was sold to Sambrook Shooting Company of Salt Lake City for use as an airport gunnery range. It closed its doors in 1957 due to overuse from the Airport Authority. In 1978, Canfield's Gunnery company opened a new Range located at 9800 East Millcreek Drive just outside of town on the edge of Zion National Park. This allowed people living near or within easy driving distance of Zion National Park to come and shoot guns without having to go all the way out there into nowhere! This newrange became very popular with locals and visitors alike, and continued to be open until 1986 when it was bought by Canfield's successor company called Midway Firearms Corporation which then deactivated it because they didn't think anyone would want to shoot there anymore! In 1994, Midway Firearms Corporation reopening theirRange under the name "South Jordan Gun & Rifle Club" which remained operational until 1997 when it burned down due to fires caused by children playing with fireworks! In 2001, Midway Firearms Corporation reopened their Range as "Utah Bullet Hole" again remaining operational until 2007 when it closed due to economic conditions! In 2009, Midway Firearms Corporation reopened their Range as "Utah Shooters' Supply" once again remaining active until 2013! Now that we've covered all of South Jordan's history with shooters (and gun owners), let's move on onto some more recent news... On January 3rd, 2018 - South JordanGun & Rifle Club reopened after being dormant for over 20 years!!! They are now back open for business!!!

After serving as governor of Deseret News Company from 1918-1920, Young organized a group called The Church Militant which fought for religious freedom against legal discrimination in America during this time period In 1920 Brigham Young announced that he would no longer live within easy driving distance of Salt Lake City so Heber Valley became Andover Township whereupon Young appointed himself president with authority over all township residents including bishops who ruled over parishes within their respective areas Bishops continued ruling over individual households until 1938 when state supreme court rulings ended polygamy and wife residency requirements across most states while continuing marital jurisdiction between husbands and wives under state law Accordingly Andover Township became part of North Logan Township upon President Joseph Fielding Smith's death leaving Andover unofficially divided into two townships each headed by a bishop
