After some difficulty getting permission from local authorities to do so due to potential security risks posed by large numbers of people coming intoDOJ territory without proper identification or government authorizations (Operation Overlord), many soldiers ended up occupying farms around Sandy while they were there; this resulted in increased business for the stores that distributed goods collected by these farmers On January 6th 1948 United States Senator James Fenton (D-Utah) delivered a speech denouncing Stalin's policies regarding religious freedom within communist Russia which made significant news across much of Western Europe that day; shortly afterwards Soviet forces invaded Czechoslovakia and all towns west of Prague came under occupation as part of what became known as "the Cold War".
