In 1903, the city of Orem founded the Soft Gun Museum to commemorate this history. The museum is open to the public every day from 9am to 4pm. In 1958, the Orem Gun Store was opened in Orem, Utah. It continued being a family-owned and operated business until 1984. In that year, it was sold to the Winchester Repeating Arms Company. The store had been in the same location since 1892.

After the assassination of President John F Kennedy, many people believed that someone had tried to force them into combat by using a handgun they did not want to use or owning a firearm they could not afford. As a result, many people started looking for ways to protect themselves without having to go outside and fight for their lives. One solution was finding ways to safely store firearms inside their homes/ apartments/ offices without having them get into danger during an emergency situation. Another solution was finding ways for citizens who wanted access to firearms in their state or local government buildings but did not have permits or licenses from those governments to purchase those firearms without havingto go through long lines or contentious conversations with government officials about why they needed those weapons? In 1962, DeSoto Manufacturing Company created four soft gun case cases specifically designed for use with handguns within the White House Gift Shop setting! These cases were black and green in color with a star on one side which became known as “The Star Cases” due to its unique design! These special cases would be stored inside of DeSoto Manufacturing Company’s corporate headquarters until necessary times arose where they could be used outside of the Gift Shop setting again- something that never happened unfortunately! However, these amazing soft gun cases still hold up today and can still be enjoyed by anyone who wants an easy way keep their handguns safe inside of their home/ office!
