The Gun Club of Utah, which was organized in 1876, had its first meeting at the same location. In 1879, the American Armory opened on Second Street in North Ogden. It became one of the most famous gun magazines in America because it published The Rifleman and other popular guns magazines. In 1911, the Gun Club of Utah moved to 920 Sixth Avenue South and changed its name to The Rifleman Publications Company Ltd. In 1924, it merged with another gun magazine company, International Military Press Inc., to become International Military Press Corporation (IMP). IMP published several popular guns magazines including Shooter, Combat Archery Monthly, among others. IMP also produced handguns under license from various firearm manufacturers such as Colt Firearms Company and Winchester Repeating Arms Company. In 1971, IMP went out of business and ceased operations altogether. However, its legacy lives on throughout today'snorth Ogden community throughGunClubUtah- an organization that continues to publishgun magazines heretofore unknown to exist anywhere else!

North Ogden, Utah is a town in Iron County, Utah, United States. The population was 1,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Provo–Ogden Metropolitan Statistical Area. North Ogden was founded in 1847 as Fort Bridger and became a town in 1865. The name "north" comes from the Rocky Mountains to the east and "ogden" means place where wheat is grown. The first settlers of North Ogden were farmers who came from Illinois. They built their farms on high ground overlooking the Great Salt Lake Valley and grew corn, beans, pumpkins, eggs, milk and other crops. In 1865, Brigham Young ordered the town be named for General George A. Smith (1811-1872), head of Mormon Battalion during the Mexican War and governor of New Mexico Territory at that time. Smith's home still stands on Main Street in North Ogden today as does his monument which reads: "General George Atherton Smith served our people with distinction during some most difficult times." In 1881-82 a smallpox epidemic hit North Ogdens and many residents died; however this event only made locals more determined to stay put and continue farming their land despite difficulties they had faced before large outbreaks of illness occurred again in 1907-1908 & 1912-1913 In 1936 when North Ogden incorporated as a city it had an estimated population of 1006 people but by 1990 it had shrunk to 898 persons due to many factors including annexation by Provo into that city; increased commuting within Provo itself; retirements among older citizens making homes less affordable; declining birth rates among working class families leaving rural areas for larger cities like Provo; effects of droughts throughout the area caused by heavy rains & snowmelt.; also immigration from Mexico & other parts of America affecting job opportunities within city limits

On North Ogden Street in the town of Ogden, a restaurant has been in business since 1892. The first restaurant on North Ogden was called the Hannah's Saloon and it served general Merchandise as well as alcoholic drinks. In 1896, the first post office in Ogden was established at 204 N. Ogden St., and the first store on North Ogden street was opened by W. H. Fenton. In 1902, Mrs. Anna Bedeker opened a grocery store on North Ogdon Street which continued to be open until 1978 when it closed due to financial difficulties. In 1908, Mr. Elisha Sargent opened an ice cream parlor on North Ogdon Street which continues to operate today known as Sargent's Creamery. The population of Ogdensburg grew rapidly after World War I and by 1928 there were over 100 residents living in the town site alone; however, growth stopped after World War II because of lack of available land for housing development and increased competition from other towns in Utah County In 1951, Utah State University moved into its present location at 7800 East South Temple Avenue and became one of the largest universities inUtah County with a student body that reached 25,000 students by 1980 In 1978, Mrs Anna Bedeker’s grocery store closed due to financial difficulties and was replaced by Safeway
