North Ogden, Utah is a city located in the American state of Utah. It is part of the Ogden–Clearfield, UT Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of 2010, the population was 24,965. The total area is 39 square miles (103 square kilometers). North Ogden is located at 38°25′N 117°15′W (38.817,-117.355), about 12 miles north of the Colorado River and 8 miles east of Sandy Lake on the border with Arizona. North Ogden's original name was "Ogden", but it was changed to its current name in 1868 after residents petitioned for it to be placed within the new Provo–Ogden, UT Micropolitan Statistical Area. The first settlement in what became today North Ogden occurred around 1800 when Englishman John Colville erected a log fort on an elevation called Fort Bridger overlooking present-day Clearfield County and began trading with Native Americans from southward along the Weber River Valley. By 1816 all Indian trade had ceased due to hostilities between British and United States forces over land grants given by President James K. Polk to various Indian leaders as part of Treaty of Red Cloud which ended Ulysses S. Grant's Dakota War campaign against Sioux leader Crazy Horse and his followers near Fort Laramie in 1851 In 1865 Brigham Young founded what would become known as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) at Kimball Grove west of downtown North Ogden In 1870 Brigham Young organized what would become known as The Second Quorum Of Seventy lead by Orson Hyde who served until 1893 On July 15, 1898 Brigham Young announced his retirement from leadership effective September 5th after 55 years service followed by Juniper Snow who served until 1901 On October 9th 1903 Lorenzo Snow became president succeeding Juniper Snow After serving two terms as president he retired on April 6th 1906 becoming First Counselor to President Wilford Woodruff who named him First Vice President during his first term ending December 14th 1909 He also served as Acting Chairman Of The Board Of Trustees from 1907-1909 When Woodruff succeeded George Q.—1892–1911 he appointed him Chairman And then resigned effective November 15th 1911 citing health reasons He died on January 6th 1912 aged 80 years old On February 17 th 1913 Orson Hydeberg was ordained an apostle and took up residence west side apartment building facing Cottonwood avenuenorthwest cornerof Cottonwood avenueand Washingtons AvenueNorthwest cornerof Washingtons Avenue In 1915 Hyrum Smith was ordained an apostle and took up residenceat 202 Washingtons Avenue Northwest CornerOf Washington Avenue AndNW CornerOf Cottonwood AvenuesHe served until 1995 Upon Herbert Spencer’s death on August 11 th 1916 Joseph Fielding Smith succeeded himbecomingFirstPresidentofthe LDSChurch ordaining thereafter men only From that time forward women have been ordained through sisters Caroline Bickerton and LaViolette Richard

Additionally, President Bush toured two farms which were used as experimental gardens during World War II before returning home to Washington D C on July 6th.
North Ogden was founded in 1847 as the first town in Utah. It became an agricultural center, and features a history of irrigation systems and wheat production. The town was abandoned in the 1940s, but has been reborn as a small community with a population of around 100.
