Lindon is an unincorporated community in Cache County, Utah, United States. The population was 910 at the 2010 census. It is located on the Cache River and is part of the Provo–Orem metropolitan area. Lindon is considered a small town because it has a population size of under 1,000 people. The first settlers in Lindon were farmers and their families who arrived around 1853 from Illinois. They built a log cabin on what is now State Route 128. A post office was established at Lindon in 1865, and the community name originated with Mr. Landon's farmstead located two miles east of town on State Route 191 (now US-191). In the 1880s, another pioneer family settled near Lindon, making it one of the few communities in Cache County without any formal buildings or schools until after World War II when public education became available to all residents through local school districts. Lindon had its first store opened by Wm Homan in 1895. The store was replaced by a new store building in 1913 which still stands today as a commercial center for Lindon and surrounding areas. At that time there were only three stores in Cache Valley; one each in Orem, Layton and Logan Counties. In 1930, J&J Haynes started selling groceries from his garage next to the Post Office which grew into what is now called "Haynes' corner." In 1938 another grocery store opened up by Dolph Lundgren which continued to be open until its closure in 1984 due to dwindling customer demand combined with technological advances such as refrigeration that made grocery shopping more convenient for customers than ever before! The last Store closed down after 40 years serving its customers from Main Street into today’s NE 3rd Street Neighborhood! Today you can still find pieces of some old hardware stores that once stood along NE 3rd Street between Main & Patterson Streets !! In addition to this remnant Hardware store property across Patterson St., you also can find several other businesses dating back to early days including: J&J Haynes Grocery (1938), Mrs McGuire's Bakery(1940), Piggly Wiggly(1948), Gibson Bros.(1957) etc... This fact alone tells you how important it was for these early businesses to stay alive and continue providing goods & services needed by many during those pre-internet days! When using this tool, practitioners would place their handgun on top of the inner tube while making sure that both ends of the inner tube were connected at either end by means of a stopcock. Then they would pull back on the pump until enough pressure had been applied to remove all residue from within reach. This year marks 150 years since the first gun cleaners Kits were created! After his time as president ended, Truman continued to reside in Lindon until his death in 1953. Since then, it has been home to a variety of dignitaries including two U2 singers (the current Mayor of Lindon is singer Bono), former First Lady Laura Bush, and many other notable people throughout its history. Today, Lindon continues to be an important community with strong ties to its citizens and cultural experiences across generations. It is Homegrown Heroes Day each year on January 11th which celebrates local civic organizations that support military veterans or their families through grants or donations., There are numerous festivals throughout the year such as summer BBQs at Camp Sprague (just outside of town) or fall picnics at Myer Park on Main Street., And there are also several annual events like Christmas markets (Merry Go-Round usually takes place around Thanksgiving), Jazz Festivals (Annual Festival typically takes place during June), horse shows ( extensively held every few months ), arts & crafts shows ( often taking place around Easter ), etc...
